just bought a silver subaru wrx. car has slight swirls. what products would you recommend? also car has black little pots i cant get off. what should i do? claybar? thank you.

If you don't have a PC, I wouldn't recommend you bother with the swirls yet. Some of my favorites for silver are:

AIO

WG

UPP

Paste Glaz

Nattys

All of those products are also very easy to use.

Those little black spots could be rail dust. Try a claybar...it will probably remove them pretty quickly.

You CAN, but it's a big PITA. If that's your only option, then I'd say wait until you can get your PC, or go ahead and polish by hand.

I'd use something like #80 or P21S Gloss Enhancing Paintwork Cleanser for that. I've had more bad experiences with hand polishing than good ones, so I tend to use my PC anywhere I can.

That sounds good. I do think that the worst of the marring will require something stronger than the FPII. I used 3M PI-III MG on my silver WRX, but when I had anything worse than really light marring I got out the PI-III RC. I never used anything milder than the MG and that has a good bit more cut than FPII.
