Ok, I need a new LSP and QD

Ok, I spent tons of time using the Sonus SFX-2 and 3 polishes to get my car the way I wanted it, only to find out earlier that morning that my ZFX was gelled over, and I couldn't find my sample of Tropicare to use, so I ended up using Meg's Gold Class:mad: So, I need a new LSP and QD, so here is what I am thinking....

Poorboys EX-P and their new QD (nice to be able to put on in the sun)

Give Zaino another chance....

Tropicare and their QD

S100 and the Sonus QD

#16 and would the Sonus QD work with this???

I need most of durability, my car sits outside year round....

The most durable from your list is #16. Maybe not the best for red.

I think most QDs provide great results, so I wouldn't get too fussy about that.

Also, before a mod jumps on you, you might want to make your posts on the Autopia University for a bit. :D

Hi Billfold,

--To start with your LSP, what kind of durability are you looking for?

--How often do you plan/want to apply a new coat?

For excellent durability the #16 would be a good choice, but get it while you can now that it is discontinued. I am going to get an update on a car with Wolfgang Sealant/Natty's combo on friday, it will be a 3 month update with 1 wash since then. Natty's seems to have pretty good longevity. I have been using the FK1 Pink Wax, with which I polish with VM and topped with the Pink Wax and am going really strong at 1 month. A couple of people on another site are getting 4 months and still going. With your car you may want to look into EX for red, but EX-P would look good as well. I like 4* UPP on red as well, and gives great slickness.

As for a QD, I'm sorry but the Adam's Detail Spray takes the cake against anything, IMO. This stuff leaves the surface extremely smooth. The stuff smells incredible and when you use it on a non windy day you get an amazing wiff of the stuff when you work with it. It buffs off of the surface with ease, and with no streaking at all. They say it's a waterless wash as well, but I think it's really more of QD for my arsenal.

For Red, I would use Trade Secret, and I have to agree on the QD, Adam's takes it hands down. Plus, they have a great special when you buy a gallon right now.

Ok, well I decided to try out S100(P21S), that I got at the Harley Shop for 14.95. I know the durability isn't the greatest, but I decided to give it a shot anyways. Where can I get the Adams QD? Also, I am going to get the Sonus buffing and polishing towels as well.

Bill the new Zaino is incredible give it another chance. I never had any problems with ZFX it must have been anomoly, did you try to get it replaced? For durabilty, not too many people would bother denying Zaino is it, and since you said that is what's most important then hey why you going nuba? s100 is a great wax one of my fav's, but if i was going nuba for durabilty I'd go collinite. Zaino will outlast them all though.

I know, I may still give Zaino a chance, and will probably get some in the future. I just, as in just yesterday, decided to try something new out. I was starting to become a Zaino Nazi!!!

Poorboy's just debuted Spray 'n' Gloss as a QD...have heard great things about it , but haven't gotten my hands on any yet.

(...maybe that's what you were talking about?)

Also been hearing alot of positive comments about Adams.

Something else I'll have to try.

With Poorboy's , Spray 'n' Wipe is more of a cleaner/detailer , while QD+ isn't recommended for cleaning duties---more of a wax booster ; which may help with durability.

Both give a nice shine , IMO.

Hope this helps.
