Here is what I have so far



INTERIOR:

1.5HP shop vac

Bissel ProHeat Little Green

Woolite Mixture

TurtleWax Carpet Cleaner

Stoners Invisible Glass

Meguiars Interior Shine stuff

Misc brushes

Lexol leather cleaner



Heres what I think I need. What do you guys use for scrubbing carpets? Also I think I need a better leather cleaner. I tried getting out an orange soda stain in a carpet a couple weeks ago and I had no luck. What would you guys use? Something a little stronger than the woolite wouldve worked I think? Just throw out some better interior cleaners.



WHEELS:

Meguiars Hot Wheel Cleaner (not sure)

Bleach White for the tires

Some scrub brushes

Mothers Polish

Armorall tire shine



Now what else can I use to give the rims a nice shine? Ive heard Klasse AIO gives it a nice look? and is the mothers best for chrome?



BODY:





Im going to get the 7424..what would I need for pads? I also know I need to get the 6" counterweight. Whats the best place to get all this stuff?



For dried leaves,tar, whats the best way to get these things off the trim/paint?Would the stoners tar remover work for that?



Also automagic, are any of their products worth getting? Im going to get the spoke stuff, i get a lot of cars with REALLY baked on brake dust and that stuff would be helpful (id break it down 50/50)



Im also curious about griots? are they just alright or do they have anything worthwhile?

Look at the Black & Decker Scumbuster. Perfect for srubbing seats and carpets, and grained vinyl.



Forget about the Bissel... get a stronger wet vac, like the 4.5hp Shopvac Hangup. Now you can scrub and clean the carpet.



Oh, BTW, stop eating in the car!



IMO, Griot's Garage is shamefully overpriced.



Automagic has a full line of products, and many are quite good. I use the citrus wheel cleaner, somethingSheen trie dressing, and their GS-1 polish is THE BEST swirl remover/final polish I've used.



On every nonporous surface of your car, the Klasse Twins are the answer, including the Sealant Glaze on the windows.

I'd stick with Woolite/water for leather, but switch to a dedicated upholstry/carpet shampoo for fabric and carpeting. I use Magnum Upholstry Cleaner that I get through my Meguiars distributer. Runs about $8 per gallon and makes about 8-10 gallons of cleaner depending on how much you cut it with water. You can get hold of them at barry@wash-solutions.com . rlspringer deals with them also and I'm sure he can attest to the effectiveness of the Magnum line of cleaners.



I'm not suprised orange stains did not come up. Red is tough too, mostly because they actually dye the fabric. Often, if you don't get the spills immediately, they set and can be permanent. I've yet to find a cleaner that effectively removes orange/red stains.



Unless you can afford a high end extractor, I have to agree with jimamary. A strong wet/dry vac and the B&D Scumbuster. I'd also carry a spray bottle of water to help rinse after cleaning the fabric/carpeting to remove all soap residue, although the Magnum product leaves very little behind to begin with.



With the 7424 (which is on my Christmas list ;) ), you'd probably need a couple each of cutting, polishing and finishing pads to start.



Other than Automagic's clay (Clay Magic), I'm not a huge fan of their products, most of which seem more geared to the 'assembly line' detailers (much like Meguiars Detailer line).
 
should i get all the pads from meguiars?



ill definitely pick up a new shop vac..the one im using is my dads and is extremely loud and big.



also how do you get dried wax out of crevices? a soft bristled tooth brush?
