Octy Blues

This octy had some problems with scratches and watermarks. Condition on the three horizontal panels (bonnet, roof n boot) was quite bad with all the watermark etchings.

This three areas therefore received closer attention compared to other side panels from my rotary:

1) Powergloss n Rotary with orange LC pad

2) Intensive Polish n Rotary wif grey LC pad

3) PO106FF n Rotary wif grey LC pad

The rest of the panels got the following treatment:

1) Intensive polish n PC with orange LC pad

2) PO106FF n PC with white LC pad

After washing again to remove the polishing dust,

1) DA with grey LC pad n CG's EZ creme glaze

2) 2x Factory Sealant

Pics of scratches before n after:

The watermark is up next......

I could only remove about 70-80% of the watermarks as it was no point going after the deeply etched ones and risk damaging the paintwork.

Great job!

Have you ever used PO85RD?

How does it compare to the other Menzerna products you've used?

It looks like the IP does a great job, but as far as using as a finisher, which one is better between the PO106FF and the PO85RD?

Thx-Goose :usa

Thanks goose!! I have PO85RD as well, but I seldom use it as I feel that the 106FF cuts slightly better yet finishes almost as well. If I have some very light swirls and lines, PO106FF can do the job better.

As for IP, when used with a white LC pad or a grey LC pad, it finishes quite well too, the difference is almost insignificant on a light coloured car imo.

Why did you chose to use a finish pad for the Intensive Polish and PO106FF?

Excellent work! Great turn-around!

Thanks Silvergray!! Ya, it seems rather wierd initially when I was told to try this combo, but the results speaks for themselves. If I had used the IP with say an orange light cut pad after the Powergloss, the lines caused by PG would be properly taken out but leaving behind some haze which still require another step of 106 with a white pad. What I am doing here is just using IP's abrasives to take out the lines and at the same time not add any more haze to the paint. Same logic for the PO106FF.

Hope what I said makes sense to u :lol
