O Mother! holy cow - this stuff works!

I'm not one to product-whore or shill for anything. And, I have no dogs in this hunt, but, when I find something really good, I try to pass on the info. Mother's Heavy Duty Trim Cleaner is the real deal. I have tried, (and I'll bet you have too) all the trim products made. The cheap ones, the pricey boutique ones, none last that long and the results often last until the first good rain. This product is not a dressing, it's a cleaner, it takes the old oxidation off, cleans wax/sealants off too! It leaves the trim looking new. Now, I'm on the fence about what, if anything, I should use after it's clean. I'm just liking that new again look. I see Advance Auto has it now, and a dollar cheaper than that walmart on-line place ya'll go to (no names mentioned but you know who I'm referring to).

Try it - per the directions on the bottle and I think you will like it. Just my humble opinion.

That is great info.

Trim is the most neglected down in this heat.

I will definitely try it.

What are you in the fence about protection?

What products are you considering?

I'd be interested in how this compares to Griot's Rubber Prep.  Sounds very similar and, well...most any equivalent product from somebody else is usually a lot cheaper than Griot's.

I'd do a trim sealant afterwards, my (completely satisfactory) experience has been with the Ultima stuff.  Or Garry Dean's BIS, which seems to also work well for this kind of thing, though it seems to impart a bit more gloss (note repeated use of "seems" due to limited experience with the BIS).

Glad to hear the Mothers Trim Cleaner performs as well as the tire cleaner.   I've been using the Mothers Back to Black tire cleaner since it came out and have been amazed at how easy and effective it is -- no scrubbing or even water required--spray it on, short dwell time and wipe it off--unreal how much better the tires look even without a dressing and was hoping the trim cleaner would be as good.

Thanks for looking. The thing is, ok, the cleaned trim looks so good, I hate to add any dressing to it. The complete non scientific opinion of mine is that some dressing actually makes trim look worse after a few months. But, since I have had such success with the cleaner, I "may" try Mothers dressing.

Oh, price was ten bucks at Advance, and a little goes a long way.

I've never been disappointed by any of the Mother's products that I've tried. In fact, some are better than some boutique products.

And their tyre cleaner is the best cleaner I've ever tried, after Autoglym.

I'm anxious to try it on a customer's Pontiac Vibe - tons of crap-tastic plastic on it. It's due in soon for a maintenance wash/wax.
