NXT wax beading shots after a month

even p21s looks better than that for me at 1 month and its a nuba.

I agree as well.

ScubaStevo's beading shots are quality on the other hand.

I think tightness of beads does matter as an indication of durability if it is a carnauba wax...but all bets are off if there is a sealant in question.

Garaged or not?

How much weather does it see?

How often is it driven?

What is it washed with and how often?

Any QD spray used?

What's the temperature range in your area?

Oh, I should add that after 5 and a half months of SALT and looking like a brown turd, it still had beading very similar to the pictures when i washed it last night. :)

This reminds me that I'm due for my monthly NXT wax refresh coat. It still beads great for a daily driver always outside, but I just want the slickness back. :)

i think NXT beads like that...

here is my car with 1 aplication of nxt, after 2 months of no washing

I think that the results shown for NXT are quite impressive. We are talking of a product famed for being " not durable" and as the pics show it is quite a bit more durable than many of us would give credit. I wouldnt of expected NXT to be beading so well afer a month.

dude, that last pic is cool!

i think most ppl say NXT doesn't seem durable is because NXT loses it's shine very quickly like after a week or two.

I guess this is the crowd that finds beading to be a good thing.

Here in OK, I have run into nothing but problems with water beading on paint, and then immediate sunlight afterwards.

I agree with the above posed questions as that will no doubt have an effect.

Regardless, I get about that with Nxt paste. Its good stuff and can be applied really well and remove with ease in colder winter months.

NXT and Quikshine have been the only products I've used this summer on my NBM Camaro. My car is garaged only while I'm at work. We've been getting pounded with rain here in the DC area the past several days.

I'm happy to report that I still have great slickness and beading. I've applied 3 coats of NXT, I have the "old" formula. I've got 2 coats of EX-P on my light bronze LeSabre and I can tell it's due for another. I'm enjoying the comparisons so far. :)

:werd:

I get that too which really blows on my black car

Wish I would have had a video camera a few days ago. A few hours after applying z2p & Z8, got caught in a rain storm. It had stopped raining by the time I came out of the store, but the beading was perfect. As I left, I didn't have to make any turns or anything, so it all stayed even. Then, as I increased speed, the beads started pushing up the hood, 'collecting' each other. Nearly every single drop was picked up along the way, the hood was nearly dry by the time I hit 60 mph. It reminded me of going through a tunnel wash and those big blowers, but with less force. It was fun to watch-looked like the water was being 'rolled up' off the hood!

geeze. now we have the "bead" nazis????? :rofl nothing ever beads the same as "just" done. those looked pretty darn good for the time frame!
