I can make it last too, perhaps we have the "new" version. Then again, my supposed "old" version did OK for me too.

LOL @ not very tight beading.^^^

Me too.

My RX330 62 days after applying NXT Tech Wax. Also after 7 washes, (NXT Wash) and numerous rain showers. Works for me.

lol yeah whats tight beading? :P

I have NO detailing experience, and my education was deficient until I got my RX-8. What beading pattern are you looking for? The photos aren't clearing that up very well.

Intuitively, it seems that you want a few large beads with the rest of the surface dry, as the small beads coalesce on a hydrophobic and very smooth surface. On a slped surface, that would have the water sheet off, leaving a dry surface. Am I right??

Pontman, is that on a garaged car in CA? I think there's an obvious difference.

Ya, garaged in CA and ya there is a huge difference. I just posted the pic to show what I think tight beads are and not to compare. I just mentioned what the LSP was and how long because it would have come up, I was justing thinking ahead. ;)

Some product bead tight, some bead more loosely and some sheet water. Who cares exactly how it beads provided the beading characteristics are similar to when it was first applied, the appearance is holding up and there is decent slickness?

I've always had pretty good results with NXT, especially the paste version. :)

Good point scott.

My point exactly for LOL at the bead size comments.

Jeez, comparing bead tightness photos is pointless. You can change the size of the beads by the way you spray the water on the car. And you can't compare beading on the sides with beading on the hood. And beading is different depending on which shampoo you just used.

But I bet you NXT has changed.

I applied NXT about 3 weeks ago. During the rinse process after the wash the other day I noticed no more beading but the water sheet(ed) of the car fairly easily.

My reaction was like "oh man here we go, this stuff sucks!". Well yesterday when I washed the car the water beaded up fine.

I guess it may be partly due to the wash soap I used causing the water not to rinse as easily. However it seems it's still protected fine and the NXT is holding up so far.

I still can't find a wax I think is durable enough. I'm gonna buy some 845 soon and see how that does. I'm topping KSG though so guess durability isn't all that critical out of the carnauba.

THIS, my friends, is tight beading... :) Although, if I do remember correctly, it was 17 coats of SG. :)

Collonite 476S still has given me the best beading...
