NXT users, do you apply by hand or with PC?

Which method do you apply NXT?

After trying it once with my PC, that is the only way I will apply it. NXT is the one last step product I can apply better by PC than by hand. Not faster, but better. ;)



I use a Meguiars polishing pad and a speed of 4.5 and the combination of the pad and NXT really does an amazing job on any minor cobwebbing my polishing steps may have missed....and unlike when applying NXT by hand, they don't reappear a few weeks later.
 
I apply NXT with the Simoniz cordless I have with a 4" pad .. I like this better than the PC for applying because it gets into more areas, runs about a speed of 4 and I can have the NXT bottle in one hand and the buffer in the other .. Applying to an average sized car is no more than 10/15 minutes. One battery charge will usually apply to about 2 cars if done a few days apart .. any longer and the charge drops off so I have to change 1/2 way through the second car. .. I have 2 batteries.



This also works good on #16 , Wolfgang and FMJ .. applies very thin and even and because of its weight it is easy to control with one hand.
 
I apply NXT with my PC set at 4. I use a polishing pad and work the product in like I would a one step cleaner/wax. I remove the NXT by hand using a microfiber polishing coth and then do a final buff with a microfiber bonnet on my PC. NXT is pretty amazing stuff.

I agree with Scott......Using the Cyclo will get you great results as well.
 
I use a polishing pad too. The finishing pad seems to soak up too much product (a waste IMO). Plus like Scottwax mentioned, using the polishing pad is like cheap insurance against any micro marring missed before.



What I want to know is for those who use the PC, do you rub it in until it starts to disappear or do you just lay a coating down on the surface?
 
I lay it in until it starts to disappear. The folks at Meguiar's don't recommend this but it works for me. :D

I apply NXT with Cyclo polisher using white finishing pads and remove with microfiber cloth. Awesome results! :bounce
 
I've done it via rotary and LC Polishing Pad @ 1000 rpm with excellent results. I did overlapping passes (by 50%) and light pressure. I haven't used NXT in a while, but when I use it, I find this way better. I may go to a finishing pad next time, but the polishing pad did just fine.

The slight cleaning ability of NXT may lessen the protective qualities of AIO a bit, but it won't lessen the polishing and cleaning qualities of AIO.



And of course, the NXT adds protection.
