NXT - Slickness issue (again)

Try using Gold Class Car Wash after waxing, I haven't ued the Eagle One Wet Car wash, but there is something to sticking with products inside a system, ask any Zaino user.

BTW...I kinda like NXT wash better then Gold Class. Is there a problem with the NXT soap?

Agreed! If the product looses its beading ability and slickness after one wash then its not that great of a product in my mind!

I agree too, that is my point. I don't understand why Bret would use a product that based on his posts, he feels is not very durable. I don't get it.



I have yet to see an instance when I have used NXT that after just one wash it does not bead at all and the slickness is completely gone. Not saying it has never happened to anyone, just that I haven't seen it.

With zaino and klasse the paint is still beading strong wash after wash, shouldn't all sealants be like that? Also Scott, how do you tell if your customers car is still beading if you never use a hose on it?

I occassionally use a hose on my own car and I have a customer who has a water deionizer and pressure sprayer at his office he likes me to use on his and his employees cars. NXT beads nicely when I mist the water on and sheets when I blast it under high pressure.



I have never doubted the durability of Zaino or Klasse. I just don't get why some people blast other products to prove their love for the products they prefer.

My understanding is that Gold Class soap is more lubricious (is that a word?). That having been said, I also prefer the NXT wash, I just can't find it anywhere. :nixweiss

If you think some of us blast one products only to show a preference for another, then you're right - you don't get it. I guess when you read someone's posts for amusement only, you never try to learn what they're really saying. I wonder how many other people here you hold in equally low esteem. With 15,000+ members I hope you're learning something from someone here.

If a customer asked me to use a product I did not have confidence in, I would make my concerns known to that customer, but if they insisted, I would use what they want.

True, beading isn't a 100% positive sign that paint is protected, but that is what the average person would associate with wax/sealant protection. The true test is if the paint will squeak when you rub it with your bare hand. At that point, you can pretty much guarantee the protection is gone. At 3 months (at least in my personal experience), NXT is not super slick to bare skin but it doesn't squeak either.

No, I do get it. Some of those with an affinity to a certain product line do it often. It happens here but it isn't as blatant as on other boards. On some boards, you are basically considered pond scum if you don't use that product line.

When you are talking about detailing procedures, I am almost always in agreement with you. When you talk products, I sense a strong bias at the expense of other products. Whispers of solvents, abrasives, oils, MSDS sheets, etc.

Not many. I know you don't like me either and I know a few others here who also don't like me. The vast majority of members I like just fine and I do learn a lot. When I got here, all I used was Meguiars. This board opened me up to a plethora of other product lines and techniques. I mean c'mon, I am using a PC now!



I don't hate you personally, Bret. If I met you in real life, I would probably like you just fine, you may even like me. I try not to take internet forum personalities too personally. I just disagree with you on a lot of stuff. I don't mind getting it out in the open once in a while either.

Both washes are very similar. Gold Class offers a tad bit more gloss, while NXT Car Wash contains an agent that sequesters and encapsulates minerals in the water. This helps to prevent water spotting on the finish.



Both are equal in cleaning ability. The only reason I would suggest Gold Class over the NXT Tech Wash is if you're having a problem finding a store that carries the NXT Car Wash. NXT Car Wash is getting good distribution, but Gold Class can sometimes be easier to find.
