Where are the wash buckets, grit guard and wash mitt?
I think a grit guard is way overblown, do you put your sponge all the way at the bottom of your bucket? The stuff that's going to get on/in your sponge is going to happen no matter what if you move the bucket around at all, I try to keep my wash bucket still, I use a clean bucket and then spray my sponge out before returning it to the wash bucket. If any contaminants are floating, there's nothing a grit guard is going to do to help that.
I also use proline GSs instead of an actual mitt. Easier to see things on the spong, and I've never noticed any marring doing all of the above.
