NXT over 1z

Just got my bottle of NXT from advance auto parts. this is the same as the stuff off of megs website huh? anyway i plan on putting it over 1 coat of paint polish and 2 coats of glanz wax. any opinions?? if my paint gets anymore shinier i think i'll fall in love.

Just feel guilty bc this is the only thing i've bought from an auto parts store that goes on my truck.

yeah, that should be the same stuff. it'll be fine over the GW, but i don't know if it'll be any shinier. more than likely it'll give your truck a deeper, maybe wetter look or something along those lines. just wait 'til you use the Perls for the first time. you thought you were addicted before - HA!

Darren what are you doing to me man. Im becoming a freak. After the NXT i'll have pictures. Might do a perls wash before i apply it.

Just had an idea...wouldn't NXT and Glanz wax be along the same chemistry w/ the polymers and everything? in that sense...would it be like layering another layer of glanz wax or something similar to it?

Over Glanz will be interesting .. I wonder if it will bond? Does NXT have any prep instructions?

No prep instructions but a lot of claims of swirl filling abilities. did say to apply to clean dry surface not in sun. also said NOT TO GET ON VINYL!!!! im taping my truck for this one (Poo in a jar...oops i mean gold class said the same thing). Bad experience w/ that stuff.

yes the NXT sounds as though it will be similar to the GW, but according to what everyone has been saying it may give you a little more depth than GW.

i'm not doing anything, apparently you've been bitten by the detailing bug and i'm just helping to feed the need. besides, i might be looking to expand to the Northshore and i'll need a guy on that side of the pond. none of my guys want to startup anything over there. besides that, i'm trying to help you out with that learning curve thing. ;)

One word of advice. You cannot layer Glanz Wax. It's got a strong solvent base, so applying another layer of Glanz over glanz will just eat through the existing Glanz and leave you with 1 layer of Glanz Wax. I still occasionally apply Glanz over glanz, but mostly just to fill in where it's getting short in between polishes. Currently I'm using Glanz with P21S contours applied onto it. Looks rather good, I just redid it yesterday, I'll try to take some pics later.
