NXT on Black, White & Silver (not 56k friendly)

I've used NXT on a few cars this past week and here is my opinion on it:

Application:

- spreads very easy both by hand and PC. I was able to get a nice even thin layer with both the Porter Cable and by hand.

- 15-20 min cure time removal was just as easy. If applied too think you might get some streaking but a little QD removes it with no problem.

Results:

- Unbelievably slick! One of the slickest product I've ever used

- Very nice shine, gloss and wet look - not a sterile look like some sealants

- It does has some filling properties and fills small imperfections.

- Durability ???

Conclusion:

- A very versatile sealant with great looking results

- Easy to use, wipe on/wipe off, not as easy to remove as EX or Zaino, little more of a bite.

- Super Slick

- Seems to darken the paint a bit

- Good at covering small imperfections but like said before, not for poorly prepped paint though

Here are some shots:

Here is some before and after of a silver Corolla. I tried to get the same light for before and afters but it was an ugly day:

I aslo used Clearkote Metal polish for the yellowed, cloudy headlights on the Mustang and it works great. I applied it with the PC, speed 3.5

Great Detailing and Photography. It all looks great. I'm waiting for my NXT to come in...Can't wait to use it :D

nice, I'm wondering if I should go pick up a bottle myself...except I -just- got a bottle of poorboy's ex and only used it once...wonder how the 2 compare (or if topping ex+s100 with nxt is worthwhile)

NXT applications - i too have tried it (have EX and 4*UPP - ).

Initally I was not that impressed - not as slick as EX or 4*UPP (which has produced the slickest results I ever had). Seems to 'deaden' Metaillic paints rather than bring out the sparkle factor in them (with my metallic grey Acura - TLS).

Reading through some posts I gave it another shot - this time using the yellow Polishing Pad on the PC set to 5 ish (between 5 and 5.5). Using a firm pressure all over the car, it really seemed to work it into the paint (this time it almost dissapeared after waiting 30 minutes).

Removal is still not as easy as EX or 4*UPP but it left the finish slicker (again not as slick as EX or 4*UPP). The finsih did look much wetter though. It still seems to deaden metallic paint (at least mine)..by this I mean it seems to enhance the contrast in a metallic on the darker end and not bring out the metallic flakes.

This is with an application of Klasse AIO by PC and then the above mentioned method using the PC/yellow Pad/5.5 - see what ya think :)

Exactly opposite of all of my results and so far, all of the results I have seen others post.

From the pictures, it looks like your paint needs to cleaned and polished?

It doesn't look very clear? In fact, it looks like it needs to spend some time with Mr. Rotary Buffer or Mr. PC with some #83 DACP before application of any wax.

Maybe it's just the picture/focus?

Mike

maybe it's the shot - but the car is an 03 with 6K miles -

The AIO was to remove to clean/remove.

These pictures were taken about 2 weeks before with

Poorboy's products

don't get me wrong I am not knocking NXT - it produces a very nice wet look shine - but having tried other sealants I can say in my experience the results are not as slick (it feels slick but of the three I have never felt anything like 4*UPP after removal).

I can only go by what I see - like I said it really enhances the contrast in my metallic paint, but also seem to take away the "sparkle."

like I said great reflection and wet look - but notice that the "sparkle" is much less noticable than the EX shots.
