I applied a coat of NXT over PS on the 8th and haven't had a chance to do anything else until yesterday (02/17). I did manage to run her through an automatic car wash on the 14th though but that was it. The conditions here have been raining off and on very cold in the morning with frost on the car. There's was some flurries for a couple of days so the roads had some salt. For some reason every road that I take to go home has construction going on where they are digging up the roads. So, I've been driving over a lot of dirt and you can definately see it on the paint. This was my main concern because your typical water spot has dirt on it and it's harden on the paint. I did manage to take pictures but I won't get them back until Friday (sorry no digicam).
Anyway, I washed her real good and rinsed her off without the nozzle. The water was just sheating off the entire car. I was amazed because of the cars condition prior to the wash. I usually use the CWB first to dry her off but I might as well throw it away. I didn't have anywhere to use it on, not on roof or the side and definately not on the hood. I used the Autopia drying towel and dried her off. Holly Shi*!! I didn't really need to do anything else because the paint looked great after the wash. Drove her under the shade and applied NXT. I tried PS then NXT on the 8th but didn't really see too much difference. I figured I would try it vice versa. Well, guess what? I like it this way much better. THere's actually a clarity or depth on the wetness that you get from NXT when PS is applied over it. WOW!!!
Of course I had to detail with NXT Tech inside and it looks absolutely AWESOME. It gives you that greasy look but with the color of my interior it's not as noticeable it just SHINES when the sun hits it.
Anyway, I'm very pleased on how my car looks right now. I can't stop looking at her it looks so good.
Of course after all this work I had to run over a broken water pipe on our way to the movies last night. :angry People behind me was honking their horn because I was almost driving real slow trying not to splatter water on her. That didn't work because she got splatter all over the side. That's alright, I was glad to give her a detail this morning with Crystal Mist and VOILA!!
I will post all the pictures that I took over that last week as soon as I get them sometime on Friday. :xyxthumbs
