NXT Combo that works...so far...

What combo to use next?
Hey all,


Been a while since I've been on the ol' DC, but I've made a pretty basic combo that is looking great, as far as I can tell. The true test is that afternoon sun, and since it's been foggy here in CA lately, I haven't had a chance to check it out. Most of you know me as the Trade Secret freak...the 12 coat guy. And some of you know me as the guy that doesn't like Megs products. My new combo will prove that the latter is not true. Here's my combo:

Detergent Wash
Clay Bar
Detergent Wash
Klasse AIO x 2
NXT Tech Wax x 1
NXT Booster Wax x 1

So far...the color is almost too bright compared to what I'm used to, but that might be a great thing in the sunlight...make that pearl "POP". The look is nowhere near as wet as Trade Secret, but I have to say that this is the best Megs product I've used. I tried it once without surface prep, and It looked like ass. But this combo made it smooth and slick. More pics to come tonight or tomorrow (hate taking pics in Overcast or nitetime)

PS--The berry smell RULES. Not as good as TS, but it's still really cool.
 
Poorboys PwC for prep and Meg's NXT for the LSP is looking very good on my wife's GTP.
It is Bright Red, and I think the NXT does make the red look a little darker. I happen to like it, but some people might not.

Looks good jeff! We would ask you to let us know how it seems to hold up, but you'll probably have "10 coats" of something on there before long! :D

I agree............ it won't look like TS, and I doubt that you will find a sealant that will. Sealants just have a different look than a fine carnauba.
 
IMPRESSIONS:

Gets dirty FAST
Looks FANTASTIC in sunlight
Makes my blue brighter in sunlight like Natty's wax

All in all, not bad...I wonder if the "booster wax" aka wax in a sprayer, would make a diff being layered...hrmmm

NONONO if my cake smelled like that I'd hurl - seriously I find it a very harsh chemical "lime" smell - maybe I have an early version???
 
OMG....For those of you who think TS doesn't darken...PROOF POSITIVE! BTW, proof positive also that my paint is NOT PERFECT, and has its share of road debris knicks.
 
Sorry for that last zaino shot...just looked cool. Anyways, I still need the "high noon" pics...

IMHO, I like the NTX side better. :eek

Hard to tell with the sun setting. The metallic POPs much better on the TS side, and is really deep. The blue is very bright on the NXT side. Gotta wait to see what NXT does in high noon sunlight, and how long it lasts to see the true winner. A big downside to NXT so far has been its inability to fill fine scratches and swirlies.
