NXT = Cleaner

The TW Platinum looked outstanding. QDing looks outstanding. Washing the car looks outstanding. Letting it sit in the garage for a week, then running the Cal Duster over it; it looks outstanding.

Bravo Tom! :bow

If I Z'd it, it would look outstanding... Because I PC'd, DACP'd, IP'd, FP'd, etc.

I'm going to start at one end of my rack, and use each final product until I'm almost out of all of them. If I waxed every day for the next year, I bet I couldn't use them up.

NXT is *mostly* marketed as a 'Last Step' so in order to get the best results, proper prep is required (as it is with any other *end product*)

ACTUALLY, it's not marketted as a topper. It's marketted as the best darn wax you can buy!

Us Autopians know better though. ;) (edit) Read: For best results, prep prior to waxing.

Right, that's what I said ;)

Is NXT really being marketed as a "last step" product? The directions on the bottle call for it being applied to a clean surface. They say absolutely nothing about surface preparation prior to applying NXT. I think that maybe it is being marketed as a "first and last" step product.

I must be looking at it from too much of a detailer's point of view...because that's what I'm concidering NXT to be (maybe 2nd to last step if you top it w/carnuaba ;) )

There are going to be some changes made to the label on the bottle and the box thanks to feedback from places like Autopia as well as others.

Like Geekysteve mentioned in a post,

I wish manufacturers and distributors wouldn't get so defensive over findings and discussions - heck, if I were a manufacturer, I'd see it as an opportunity to evaluate my product and I'd try to wring as much free "focus group" info as I could from the whole experience.

We're always learning and we value you feedback.

Regardless, if it's going to be on the shelf next to NuFinish I think it should have light cleaning ability. ;) It's not "bad." It's just--not what we were expecting from the product. I'll probably pick up a bottle since my sample is running out either way, it's a good $13 investment.
