NXT availability in UK

Tony, don't forget Fred Flintstone used it on his motor too!

Good weather's about as rare as....NXT over here right now I reckon. Just need it to stay dry tomorrow, not bothered about the cold.

Well we all set fire to our bonnets regularly don't we? (good name when you think of it, as it is a bit of a MER isn't it?)

You get enough powder residue from Mer to keep a drug dealer happy

:D

Set fire to my bonnet?! It's plastic and knowing my luck it'd either torch the whole car or poison me with toxic french fumes.

Ancient man "me make fire"

Ancient man's mate "me wax with Mer"

Ancient man's missus "get your a$$ in here and wash the dishes!"

Yep, it's Friday!

Bought some Sonax today and order the brake cleaner. Hopefully I will get a chance to wash the car tomorrow and report back.

Meguairs have an uphill struggle to become established, their products are reviewed in Autoexpress and get decent scores. Most people will buy shampoo either at Halfords or similar or even at the supermarkets. Meguairs is big enough to do a deal with Halfords or Asda; why dont they - maybe the UK operation is still very small whilst the market is tested.

Washed the car with Sonax in very damp conditions but it does seem to be good stuff. I paid something like £3.60, lots of suds, cleaned the filth from the last week well and rinsed easily.

Damp conditions........oh the torrential rain all day:lol

The Sonax is good, but I might have to try the NXT wash.....despite what I said at first about the price of it on the megs forum :o. I'll wait and see if our friends in the US have good or bad things to say about it first though.

As soon as I run out of my GC Shampoo I'm gonna give Sonax and NXT a try to see which is best. The Sonax seems very reasonably priced - do they do a size the same as the NXT?

Sonax is 500ml only, not all Vauxhall dealers sell it....as I found out. My nearest one sold it all off and my next nearest one recently got a fresh shipment in. I'd phone the parts dept first before heading off to buy it.

My local Vauxhall dealer does stock the Sonax products - I enquired about the R2000 wheel cleaner already - anyone tried the R2000? I know AndyC has tried it, but he wasn't that impressed with it.

I have ordered some from Vauxhall, hopefully it will be here next week. Somewhere on the reviews section DavidB says he prefers it to P21S.

The R2000 wheel cleaner is very good but it's getting a bit expensive for us.

SONAX car shampoo is excellent...don't know if it's the same product you chaps get but darned good stuff. I washed two filthy cars with it yesterday and the result was just 1st class.

Tom, it should be the same stuff as long as the USA distributer does not ask for any changes.

Vindaloo, I am with you, the Dr Wack shampoo is superb., although I am looking forward to the NXT arriving in Blightly

I got 2 x 500ml bottles of Sonax from my local Vauxhall dealer - "old shape" so they let me have em for something like £2.50 each. Nice stuff and sheets well, too. Gave my dad some for his new motor.

Managed to get R2000 at same dealer - was part of a wheel care pack which they kindly split for me. I was surprised not to like it as I'd read David's review.

I had a Laguna with the 17" multi-spoke wheels and it was filthy (was supposed to be a replacement for mine - long story!) with ingrained brake dust and muck. Sprayed the R2000 on, left for 5 minutes, agitated with my wheel brush, left for a further 5 then rinsed. Cleaned the loose dirt well but didn't shift the baked on stuff - so IMO performs as well as APC+ for me.

Alex suggested giving the P21S gel a try which I might do but for now will stick with the APC+ - did GF's Ka yesteryady and last time that was washed was 4 weeks ago. Wheels came up sparkling after simple cleaning with the APC+

I've been told that Halfords ask for £250k in marketing & product up front with no guarantee that they will actually stock the product and they have 180 day payment terms. That came from another car care supplier so not sure whether it's 110% correct or not.

£250K...I will do it for $220K with no promises of sales either.

The P21S stuff from Iauto is the dogs er er bees knees
