NXT -- Any change?

I thought I would put in some .02
I was in Advanced the other day and was reading the labels on the 1.0 vs the 2.0 (as they sell them now) and I don't know if this would mean anything but the product numbers on the 1.0 and 2.0 are the same. I already got the kit from Walmart with the 2.0.. and can't wait to use it when the weather becomes a bit better.. but I thought that was just weird.

The car looks good! I just used 2.0 paste on my truck and I must say that Im NOT impressed!!! It leaves behind some nasty white residue!! I used it about a week ago and the rain still beads up. I didnt notice much of a shine difference either compared to before I applied Meg's #7 glaze and then when I applied 2.0 over that. Im just not impressed!!
Interesting -- I am impressed with NXT.. for an OTC I find it the leader of the pack.
Were you impressed with 1.0 ? And 2.0 just isn't really any different? Or do you DISLIKE the NXT look in general?
Did you polish your vehicle prior? Did you claybar it? The application was even and 'thick enough' right? Also you waited a little while before removal?
What color is the truck?
You used paste,.. the 2.0 only comes in the liquid bottle right? I guess that's considered paste.. I just think of paste as a little thicker I guess =)
On the side:
I put NXT 2.0 on my wheels this time. Fantastic decision on my part. It doesn't stop brake dust,.. but now the dust wipes off without ANY effort with a rag/shirt etc. Makes things easier , of course -- As I wipe the wheels down every other day at least, esp. the fronts.

Paste is Paste and Liquid is Liquid. There are two versions. No residue from mine...hate to say it but did you put it on too thick?

Going on two and a half months since I applied NXT 2.0 to my RX330. Been washed 5 times and rained on several occasions. It still looks great and feels very slick to the touch. Still beading like crazy too. One of the things about the 1.0 product was that, while it protected well, the looks would fade quite quickly. Not so with the 2.0. This is a great sealant and the fact that it is available OTC is a plus. I'm going to give this a long term durability test. I'll update this in anther month or two.
Another difference to the 2.0 product is that it doesn't streak at all even in very hot and humid locations. The 1.0 would occasionally leave some streaking in 90° temps and 90% humidity.
Nice darkening effect especially noticeable on my Super Red MR2 and a Midnight blue Acura I did recently. Almost a nuba like effect.
The water beading is outrageous. At the same time I can use low pressure water to sheet off the majority of water when I wash. Much better beading and flow than the 1.0 product.
As to the question of increased appearance after curing. This is true of most sealants. It's real. I suspect you will hear from others that also see it. I find the vehicles I do always look more reflective the second day. Most noticeable on dark colors.
