NXT and rain

This evening I was finishing up a coat of NXT on my pickup. I had the hood and one fender cleared when it started raining. It only rained for a few minutes and I dried the truck and started wiping off the NXT. It came off but didn't seem quite right (kinda sticky). Anyway, by the time I got the rest off (and had to deal with another quick storm), it was pretty much dark, so I'm not sure of the results.

What, if anything, do I need to do tomorrow? Do I need to wash it again and reapply? Can I just go over it with a QD?

Thanks. :sosad

arc, NXT is a sealant, and sealants don't like moisture until they've cured.

In my limited understanding, I'd suggest you wash and re-apply.

This might be a question for Mike Phillips to tackle. Since he doesn't post here anymore, you may want to ask him at Meguiarsonline.com.

I wouldn't apply any QD's over NXT for 24 hours. According to Mike Phillips, NXT needs to set up for 24 hrs to allow the polymers to cure.
