NXT and #26

So I was preparing for a mustang cruise and I use NXT. I decided to try somethin else on top of it since, as I understand, NXT has a cleaner in it.

So I put some #26 on top of it and it came out really nice. We had to pull over onto a dusty shoulder cause a moron put his z28 in a ditch, but the dust came right off with my duster.

Just thought I'd share this. Maybe give somebody else an idea.

Or maybe I did something wrong and just made a fool of myself. Oh well, I'll find out soon enough.

I have tried the #16 and I think it gives a very shinning and wet look to the car. I have not tried the NXT or #26 and I hope someone who has tried all the 3 products give some comments in terms of shine, wet look and durabilty. Thanks.

I find the liquid version easier to use.

I like #26 more than NXT. It looks wetter than NXT though not as deep as the latter. With #26 x 2, it's a real killer especially on red!

26 is more natural looking IMO compared to the high gloss sheen that NXT has-i'm thinking of doing ColorX and 26 on my mom's teal camaro

NXT topped with practically any carnauba looks really good.

Anybody else agree?

I'm gonna do a little bit more prep this time around and see if this combo doesn't look better

Yes, i definitey agree - i did one coat of NXT and one coat of Carnauba and it looked stunning in the sun on my red Z28. I plan on 2 coats of NXT and one or two carnauba soon for when i take it out of storage in the spring. This time around i clayed it top to bottom and cleaned with some PP SSR as well.

Not the paste version when applied thinly.

I have a hard time getting #26 on in thin layers. It's a lot easier getting a thin film with Blitz and #16. How do you get a thin layer?

I use a PC to apply all of my paste waxes (with the exception of Souveran). It lays down a very thin coat, which makes buffing much easier than if I had applied it by hand. I find that applying it by PC takes the guesswork out of deciding whether I am applying my LSP too thick.
