NXT 2.0 Updates???

Hey guys, I'm looking for any NXT 2.0 updates or long term reviews/impressions of it.

I know when it came out last December/January it was quite big, and most people here agreed that it was a nice improvement over the original. I would like to hear some long term reviews now that people have had it for almost a year. Just curious what the consensus is on this sealant?

How does it keep up with durability, beading, slickness, appearance after a month, 2 months, etc.?



Reason I ask is I plan on giving my car a nice detail since the fresh paint is almost cured, and winter is approaching in the NE. My friend just used it on his bright blue WRX and was quite impressed with it. I usually let him use good stuff on his car too (Nattys, OCW, S100), so it's not like he's using inferior products compared to it. He said the slickness is really nice, which I agreed with him after seeing it a week since it was applied.



I'm now considering using it on my car for my LSP. I still have EX-P, #21 and both versions of Glanz wax; so I'm wondering if one of these would be better or if the NXT 2.0 was a worthy contender?



Any input/experiences with it would be appreciated. :bigups
 
It stains trim very badly, but the finished product looks pretty good. I personally will never buy it again.

I found the same, it got on the door window sill, and was a bear to get off

. It does look great on the paint though, so be careful not to get it on trim if you use it.
 
It has a terrific look, better slickness than the original and about 3-4 months of good durability. I do like to top it with Opti-Seal the next day for added wetness though.
 
Don't waste your money on the stuff.



It's easy to wipe off the car but leaves behind an oily residue that does not seem to wipe off and the durability sucks.



When I tested it on my wifes DD the slickness only last up till the first wash then it lost about 70% of the slickness and the beading on the top surfaces diminished greatly after the first wash and was basically gone after about 3 washes.



Personally I don't see it as improved any since the first batch of NXT.

For NXT's cost (15 bucks for 17oz), I see no reason to use it. Why not buy a 32oz bottle of optimum poli seal for 16 bucks and use it by hand as a cleaner wax/sealant?



If you do hand application, it'll be functionally similar to NXT but from my experience easier to remove. Looks better and costs less per oz too - only issue is its a little harder to apply. I have a few bottles of NXT and have not been all that impressed since I've found much better products from DG and optimum.
 
Interesting experiences, not too worried about the trim since I just started taping it off to prevent that issue. I think I'll hold off till next Spring though. I might just use the newer Glanz wax formula or #21 not sure yet. I used EX-P on an Explorer last month, and wasn't as impressed with it then before, the beading wasn't as nice as before.
 
Ha ha...taping the trim...EX-P is just as bad a stainer as NXT, and it even has stealth recurrence! I have been pleasantly surprised by #21 as long as you shake it up really well, I even had to stir it once or twice. If you want it to last thru the winter it's got to be #16 or 476 or Zaino.
