NXT 2.0 over glazes?

I used #26 liquid over #7 on my garage queen at the end of last year. It looked good with a great gloss and reflective finish, BUT I put NXT 2.0 over half the car last weekend and it looked MUCH better IMHO. It had much more wetness to the finish after the initial application.



Its been in the garage since, but I have to say I cant see me using #26 liquid on any of my cars again any time soon....although I still like the stuff and find it easy to use.
 
NXT has no problems over glazes. Meg. 81 is also a good choice. Red Moose and Danese Wet Glaze good choices.

The thing is that the appearance is subjective. What looks good in one persons eyes might look different to another, even to the same person on different color paint. For me, I like the look of #26 over #7 on very dark colors and prefer the look of NXT or #21 on lighter colors.



OMHO, #26 makes the dark colors darker and deeper. The look is softer and like you could almost fall into and be absorbed by the paint. NXT and #21 OTOH, makes the paint wetter or more reflective.



It's good that you try them for yourself as you are the one you need to please.

I agree on the darkening effect of the #26 as it was clearly visible when I applied this for the first time on the darker red of my Audi last year. Certainly looked good :)



You're right about them being different and highly subjective. NXT 2.0 just glowed on the same colour in a slightly different way, but I preferred that. It was also better (in my eyes) on the light Primrose Yellow of the MG (see avatar) which I have always found a tough colour to achieve the look I want. I have tried traditional sealants on it as well as the Victoria Concours over #7, but they dont do it for me either. I have yet to try my Zymol Glasur on either of these cars yet, so this may also be an answer, as it did add a lot to the dark silver of my Saab, and is my wax of choice for that colour.

I saw the car today in the sun and it looked quite amazing - nothing has ever achieved the same look on it, even immediately a full paint correction :) I did give it a quick wipe down with UQD a couple of hours after waxing, so maybe this helped, but quite frankly I was blown away when I saw it today......:bow

I had the same experience with NXT 2.0. Applied on my Aura after polishing with #80...I thought it looked OK but nothing special. The next day, I looked at the car in the sun while at work and....WOW! Looked like a polished jewel.
