NXT 2.0 layering

I finaly got some NXT 2.0 and know that it can be put on over a sealant. But how about layering it over a wax? It says tech wax, but it is not carnuba, correct? I would hate to waste an application over an existing wax if it shouldn't be done.

Nxt 2.0 also has cleaners so putting it over wax or sealant would be a waste. My recommendation would be to use Nxt then a carnuaba or another sealant on top.
 
Try not to think of it as alyering, but as an extra application or two in order to provide full uniform coverage.

Layering is a debatable issue that never comes to a factual conclusion, no matter what the manufacturer says.

Like Jared said, its a sealant (polymer wax).
 
Thanks, just the info I needed. I just use it as a stand alone LSP. Interesting thoughts on this though because CWCAD's test of sealants over a glaze had the NXT 2.0 over the Danase glaze I believe. I assume the NXT took the glaze off?

I believe I read at the Meg's forum that the "cleaners" in NXT 2.0 are very dependent on how you apply it. For example, lightly applying like you would apply a normal sealant by hand, you are able to layer the NXT 2.0. If you use a pad or machine to apply, it has some minimal cleaning ability.

I don't really put a whole lot of stock into layering anymore - more so the second application to ensure complete coverage, as mentioned above. Having "cleaners" is something I don't worry about anymore. My life has suddenly gotten so busy that I have had to reevaluate how much time I spend out in the garage using different products and calling Sal. ;)

Wax is mentioned as generally a "natural" product, whereas sealant is synthetic.

Some people will tell you wax gives a warmer look with less protection, while a sealant gives you the most durable protection with a more sterile look. That's not always the case in my experiences.

Doing two applications to provide uniform coverage works great for me with any LSP.

FWIW, I can't see any reason to use anything over the NXT 2.0 for a so called topper.
I think you will find it looks pretty good on its own.
 
As mentioned the cleaners in NXT 2.0 are almost non existant especially when applying by hand. You can put 2 layers of NXT with no problems, for a nice uniform application making sure no area was missed. You can also use NXT 2.0 over a glaze with no problem as well.
 
Still a noob here, Getting all the info I can so when I got out to buy some product, I'll know what I'm looking at.
What Glaze would you recommend?
What would be the purpose?

You'd probably be better off starting your own thread, as your question doesn't really seem to have anything to do with NXT 2.0.

With that said, I think a lot of folks have had good things to say about Danase Wet Glaze. I hardly use a glaze anymore. Generally the idea is to use it for "wetness" enhancement or to hide minor blemishes that you cannot or do not want to try removing.
