Nu Finish

Bob,

Keep in mind there is a huge difference in paint job quality between an S-class Benz and an F150. I'm sure that a couple F150 plants churn out more trucks in a year than Mercedes Benz does with all their models sold worldwide.

Better paint quality = better results, all other things being equal.

No offense ///S320, but how did you get Nu Finish to look like that?

I went home after work last night and quickly washed my truck and slapped on a coat of Nu-Finish on a side of the truck that has not been touched in a couple of months and it came out like this.

Even without any surface prep and months worth of swirls, it didn't come out like your car.:nixweiss

Anyway, have fun working on your car. I know these guys will steer you in the right direction so I can't wait to see how it turns out.:D

Your truck looks good Bob, i took the pic on a sunny day. So there is some lighting effect in it too. What happens is, after few coats of NuFinish, paint looks crappy after a while.

Meguiars sells GOAT URINE....??? HuH..??? They use to use horse urine for softening leather rollers for printing in the 1800's. Me old no flames.

BTW, S320 it would probably be a good idea for you to read some the old posts to get a good idea for the best method to approach detailing your car. I have been reading this board for several months now and I think it is great. You just have to weed stuff out and see what the best method for you is. Good luck.
