I currently love Meguiars products. They really have performed for me.

I used #9 then #26 and the car looks great.

But what should I use before #26 if I don't see any swirls or feel the need for #9.

Would Meguiars new car glaze be safe to use each time ?

Yes, Meguiars #5 or my personal favorite Meguiars #7.

If you use Meguiars #9 by hand you are not removing all the swirls, you are just filling them in. Meguiar's even says that for #9 to work and remove swirls it must be used with a power buffer.

I use the #9 with my PC, so the swirls have seemed to disapper, even after washing and rain.

So, I will look into those Glazes.

I'd use a clay bar on it if it needs it. However I have heard here that Meguiar's clay bar isn't the best. For a commercially available product try Mother's clay bar. Then I'd use #7 and #26. Those two are a tried and true combination. They don't have the greatest longevity but the look is nice and wet, shiney and deep. Heck most of us can't keep our hands off our rides for more than a month or so anyway so that's not always a big issue imho. :)

I've been using PAC products for several years and have been learning here on TID for some time, as well. I found the products, service and dialogue to all be top notch. I hate to see this great resource discontinued.

I also find this all kind of odd. Wasn't the PAC website just recently redesigned?

Regardless, while I don't want to go anywhere else, I understand business is business.

So, I'm anxious to hear who is second best? Who provides the best products at the fairest prices ... And knows what they're talking about? Like many of you, I'll now be looking for a new resource and would appreciate your recommendations.

Thanks!

I am loathe to advertise for the primary PAC competitor, so I won't.

Personally, I only ever bought from TID or auto detailing solutions. The latter is limited though, because it is mainly a Meguiar's supplier, although their customer service is top notch.

Yes, I am in need of finding another online store since PAC will no longer be around. Amazon has some things but I'd rather find one place that gets all of my needs!

Normally, I would never post a competitor's web site; however, under these circumtances, you might want to consider:

They have some good products and excellent service. The forum is very helpful too.
