November Exterior Entry #1; '98 Neon

.....and now, the pics.

First, some more befores:

Notes:

a) The fuel door in the pics was that way when we got the car.

b) We jacked up two clay bars doing that car because there was so much tar on the lower panels.

c) I really didn't know that Neons had textured bumpers.

Incredible! What a transformation.

I am glad you posted the pictures showing the car after claying only. It was interesting to see what a difference just claying made.

The rotary work was incredible. The paint went from flat to a deep, reflective gloss. Wow!

The befores speak for themselves. Hey, you still have the wheels to go.

We actually washed the wheels on this vehicle. I may consider doing a polish on them to clean them up a bit.

Thanks, Dude.

Side Note: Remember the guy whose bumper I buffed some paint transfer out of? When I got done with his car, he told me about his sister's '96 Jetta (red) that makes this Neon look like a walk in the park. Severe oxidation, anyone?

I can't wait to get my hands on it. :D

I can't imagine how bad they were.... The car looks really nice, but the color doesn't help a bit (white)

What kind of pad was that? Looks like egg crate foam.

Is that what all cutting pads are like? I've never seen anything like that before.

BlackRegal is correct. This was a 3M compounding "waffle" pad. We bought this at a Body Shop Supply Store in the area. Works pretty well.
