Noticing water spots with CMW

I gave the car a bath this past Friday and after I had it dried off, i noticed some water spotting on the hood? I just applied some pink moose and topped it with 2 coats of CMW the weekend before. Has anyone run into this before? I can't say I've noticed this happening in the past but I was using sealants up until recently when I gave the carnauba route a try.

Could it be you just didn't get it dried fast enough? Do you spray the car down to rinse or do you remove the nozzle and flood the paint? Could the water spots have already been there (sprinkler maybe?) and you didn't notice them until you washed it?



I don't notice any difference in spotting between sealants and carnaubas; maybe need to break down how you washed the car or figure out if something else caused the spotting to prevent further occurances?

Scott, I always use the flooding method when rinsing. I'm thinking the spots were from the rain we've been having lately. I'll check it again when I wash on Friday.
