not so Pro before and after...

This was my 1st time so please be gentle.

After months of saving up to buy all the parts I thought I needed after reading numerous posts by other here at autopia I finally polished out my 2008 Honda Fit.

Sorry no before pics but it was dreadful. Almost looked like the previous owner used a brillo pad to clean it?

Here's what I saved up for and purchased:

Porter Cable 7424

3m Stem and pads (5739)

Meguiar's stem and pads (W8006)

Meguiar's Clay Bar kit

3M 6068 Ultra-Fine (1Qt)

Collinite Insulator Wax#845 (1Pint)

Spent 3.5hours total getting it done and am pretty happy with the results. Car feels like it's layered with teflon... So freakin smooooth. Only thing I have an issue with is there is this really hardened wax under the lip of the hood and couple other places that I simply could not remove?! Any suggestions?

Thanks for this forum for giving me the know how on how to do this!

Thanks, for the Fit being 3 years old and 23k miles of previous owner abuse it cleaned up nicely.

I drove it to dinner and got a compliment on how clean it looked?! Highlight of my day. :)
