Not for the faint of heart...

Clean Dean

Keep it clean !!!
I have not posted on any detailing boards in about 6 months, but I really want to share this one with those that can appreciated tough detailing jobs. I am just about completed with a real "project". 6 Tri-axil dumps and 4 dual axil dumps. This project required to name a few...

3 battle hardened detailers
1 and 1/2 gallons of metal polish
1/2 Gallon of Automagic XP polish
3-4 gallons of water based dressing (AM's Dress-It-All)
4 bags of 0000 steel wool
6 Flitz buffing balls
1 quart of chrome polish
About a quart of Poorboys EX
2 cans of Stoners IG

Gallons of Gatorade and water in the 90 degree weather we have had this past week.

WOW! If I remember correctly you did these trucks last year! I give you a lot of credit for being able to take pictures of this afterwards I would have passed out after doing the first one! Great work as always that is some task to tackle!

Glad to see your still around!

Amazing job :bow
Major Kudos to you and and who ever helped, for even agreeing to tackle a job like that.

Nice to see your work again

I appreciate the complements. The trucks were done over 3 days and work commenced promptly at 6:00 AM. The washing of 3 trucks takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes. I loaded up on Magichem's APC Red Heat and used about 3-4 gallons of the APC getting the undercarriage, tires and wheel well areas cleaned up. The wheels and tires required some real attention, and the brown cruddy looking tires really needed a scrubbing. I did the claying and buffing of the cab section and my assistants and I shared all the brightwork and metal trim. The aluminum was a real pain in the @$$ !!! One assistant did all of the bodies with XP and a PC. We completed 9 of these babies in 36 hours. This is our second time detailing them, and we have assigned responsibilities on each truck. The heat this week was murder, but we made the best of it and listen to Buzzsaw on Sirius radio each of the days. We have one more to go, and I admit I look forward to not seeing another dump truck for at least a month or two.

Clean Dean raises the bar yet again.

I'm blown away by the attention to detail you all gave to those vehicles and the time put into it, not to mention the TURNAROUND!

Kudos Dean.

Holy crap. Power Washer helps a load! THat's major income right there. Hope they passed for the interior

A major whoa! That is unbelievable work and in the heat that we've had! I am blown away by how great those trucks look. Thanks for sharing them with us and the quantities of products you used. I can see where they all went. Time for me to bow.... :bow

Wow Dean - awesome work. Any plans on doing the space shuttle? :)

I would not even begin to consider attempting such a feat. No way.

Fantastic work - as always!
