Hey guys just got one for Christmas and I was looking for some good recomendations for pads and polishers. I currently use Zaino for a wax but always looking to try new things as well for the finished product.

I really like the Lake Country pads that I have. I've also heard great things about the propel pads from exceldetail. I would get both large and small 4" pads. Use the larger pads for paint cleaners, sealants, liquid waxes, etc and use the small pads for defect removal with abrasive polishes. excel detail has nice combination packages that will give you a bit of each size.

For polish... well.... that's really an opinion. The poorboy's SSR series works well on a PC but produces dust when used. I personally use the optimum series on my PC. it has done everythign that I've asked it to do with no dusting whatsoever. The drawback though is that it takes longer to use the optimum polishes than other equivalent products. I've also used menzerna po85rd to great success on my PC.

You can get a combo kit from Meguiars from its online store. It containts backing plate and a few pads. The price is good as well. Menzerna PO85 is always my first polish to go to. Great stuff.
 
Menzerna PO85RD is no longer shipped to the US anymore though... Unless you get really lucky and find a vendor with a few bottles still left (which I really doubt your going to be able to do), your going to have to talk to one of the european members here and have them buy and export it to you. PO106FF, the stronger version of PO85RD that finishes down the same, is also currently unavailable in the states but stocks will be replenished in january/early februrary. there will be a slight price increase though...
 
for my pc, i use nothing but Sonus. I did not like the durability of Lake country pads..



i'd recommend optimum with orange pad and z2 pro or meg's #21 topped with natty's blue

Its just a little tough for me with all the options out there so I figured this would be the best way to start is to ask people with experience
 
The Blackfire/Menzerna venture should start coming in Janurary.

106FF has been reformulated and will be one of the first to arrive...the wax should follow shortly. Six products will come out through spring.

PO85RD is not available because it is no longer made..
