Noob Questions...Menzerna vs. Sonus

How do the Menzerna products compare to the Sonus Polishes in quality and ease of use? I am new to detailing and in my research phase:grrr . So many products:wall . So far I am sold on the Menzerna Line but the price of the Sonus Polishes are a little cheaper.

So far for the exterior I am looking at Menzerna IP, FPII and Poorboys EX w/carnaba wax. I have a PC7424. I am going to be ordering pad and probably everything next week when taxes come in.

As far as the interior I am going to with the 303 line for carperts, seats and protectants. For the instrument cluster I am going to use Plexus.

I am the owner of a windshield repair & headlight restoration company and am planning to add detailing services to the menu within the next 6 months.

Any input would be appreciated

The menz IP or SIP has a more cutting ability than the sonus sfx2. However, depending on the damage, the sfx2 with an orange pad may do the trick. I tried the sfx2 with an orand das pad on my moms black tl and it did nothing. I moved to the ip on an orange pad and there was a big difference. The sfx3 is a great finish polish on a blue pad - would highly recomend this if on a tight budget. I tried the fp with a white pad this morning and it finished down very well.

Lots of choices and the best way to find what works for you is buy a few things and go from there.

\r\n \r\nThanks for the info. You are not kidding on Lots of choices. I think my brain is frying. I just ran accross adams this morning on detaildomain.com...More choices. Also, I am trying to find 1 or 2 suppliers to reduce shipping costs. So far Detailed Image is in the running for one of my suppliers.\r\n \r\nI have also been talking to a rep at Rightlook.com.. It seems like they want to sell just whole starter kits to include generator, power washer, water tank and extractor. My thing is when reading this and other detailing forums that a pressure washer and extractor is not necessarily needed. So why would I go with this large package? Pressure washer for the foam gun( which they don\'t offer)? I would like an extractor but can\'t afford one at the present time but do plan on purchasing one. I will order some items from rightlook because of prices. MF towels are $1.49 each and I can use a color coding system, which I like.'

Never tried Sonus, but I have used and really like Menzerna, your choices are good on that. With a PC, you should get the Lake Country 5.5" low profile orange and white pads for correction, and blue or red pad to apply glazes and wax/sealants. For interior work, Woolite solution in water 8:1 will work great on carpet - seats. Glass - I like Stoners IG in the can. MF towels - I get Vroom at Target.
