No Run Plastic Protectant

I'm a HUGE 303 fan but again, for exterior, hard plastic trim, the Klasse twins sure seem to be ultimate solution for me.

Me to. I find 303 works well on rubber and vinyl but not plastic. On my exterior smooth plastic I use AIO. On textured plastic I use Megs #40.

Try Eagle 1 tire shine and similar products.,.....

Lasts a lot longer then the 303 type products....

Does not run or drip onto panels below....and really cheap.....

Or SAND and PAINT...hehehehe

I spent quite a bit of time on the phone with Roger Dyer at 303 trying to understand why some people don't get the good results I experience from 303 Aerospace on their exterior trim. He basically repeated what I said earlier in the thread. 303 Aerospace contains an ammino-functional polymer that cannot crosslink unless the water is allowed to evaporate and the finish is buffed. The key to applying any "polymer" protectant is getting the product worked into the finish thoroughly, allowing time for the polymer to "set" and buffing. Given this, 303 is excellent.

Same with the Klasse twins, just don't use on exterior rubber weather stripping, plastic and vinyl ok, less issues than 303, just like applying to the paint :up

Thanks for that David. That's interesting because their label on the bottle says, for everything but synthetic and natural rubber, to spray on and wipe dry. For those it says to wait 5 minutes then wipe dry.

I've used it for just about everything and have had no problems with it. My only deviation from the instructions are that on my tires I just leave it on. Only wiping if there is enough to sling. One of the things I have discovered is that you really need to use a MF towel to avoid streaking.

David- Thanks for your time, it is much appreciated.

All others- thanks for the recommendation.

I am looking to just protect my trim- not make it all shiny. I think tonight I am going to wash my truck, through another coat of SG on it and give 303 a try. I will report on my results the next time it rains.
