No-Rinse Wash - No Garage Drain?

I have an unheated, attached garage and live where it gets pretty cold and snowy in the winter. I assume many of you who use no-rinse car wash products (ONR/QEW) use them in unheated garages, but do you have a floor drain?

My garage doesn't have a drain and I am wondering how much of a wet mess it makes on the garage floor if you use a no-rinse wash product with no drain.

You won't need a garage drain- it doesn't make much of a mess. I don't have a garage drain, and I've washed plenty of cars in my garage that way with no problem. There definitely is some water on the floor, but it's not huge puddles or anything like that.

shouldn't be a problem...i do not have a drain (insulated garage but not heated unless i fire up the gas heater on the wall). i bought a cheap squeegee thing from a local hardware store to push excess water out when needed.

I have also been very interested in Optimum products. I really want to try out the No Rinse. Has anyone harmed their paint from using this? Can you use warm water with this? Thanks.

I just did my truck tonight in my garage, but I rinsed it off with clear water only at the coin op, then came home and did the ONR...worked great. I used a plush MF soaked in the ONR, then lightly squeezed so it was more than damp, but not dripping unless I held it still for a few seconds. Dried with another MF every panel, and I had no water to speak of on the floor, except for what was still draining from the coin-op.

I would imagine i will use more on the rag this winter when I really have a tough scum layer to get off, but right now, i have so much sealant on the truck, the clean rinse makes everything fall off, and the ONR is just touching it up.

Also, while I know the ONR in QD strength is really not an APC as it really does not have much of a grease cutting ability, but it works great on my husky floormats, bedliner, and sill protectors. It really eliminates enough different products that I kind of consider it a "must have" , almost above any other specific product.

No harm will come to your paint.

I use warm water with QEW in the cooler months. No big deal and I am sure the same w/ ONR.

It makes a little mess, nothing more than pulling a car in after a hard rain though.
Exactly, and I think it's even less than that.

Here is my 2nd QEW (rinseless) wash, notice how little water there is around the car:

Here is another photo of another QEW wash, again little water.

However, the very first time I used QEW, I dripped too much (notice how much more water there is around the car).
