No more school for 3.5 months...

JaCkaL829

it was my first time...
Well last Tuesday I had my last exams and have begun my 3.5 month vacation. Anyway this semester I had a pretty rough schedule and I was considering dropping my Spanish class. Even though I dreaded that class every Tuesday and Friday, boy i'm happy I stuck with it. I did surprisingly good this semster and even though I missed dean's list by .1 AGAIN :angry I'd say i'm pretty proud of myself considering how much I despise school. I also get to send my grades and my sister's (which her GPA was a 3.8) to insurance and get a percentage off

Anyway here are my grades, now I feel guilt-free buying the car I want and only working 8 hrs every 2 weeks :woot:

SOCI 311-01 URBAN SOCIOLOGY A

SOCI 313-01 SOCIAL THEORY-CRITICAL ANALYSIS A

SOCI 325-01 THE SOCIOLOGY OF POLICE B-

SPAN 102-03 SPANISH II B

GNED 303-05 CONTEMP ISS III: GLOBAL ISSUES B+

GPA 3.4

btw if anyone can't tell i'm a Sociology major ;) Hopefully all the other college-Autopians have had a successful semester and get to enjoy their summer vacation :wavey

I also got a couple jobs lined up so I should finally be posting in click & brag soon.

Nice job...I'm also finished with school for the semester. My last two exams were yesterday, both of which I just flew right through! :up

Now I can finally detail/fish/kayak/disc golf without wondering if I have any homework that I should be doing!

This semester was my last semester of school ever. I finished my second year of Medical School, and I'm now on my way to the hospital for the next two years of training. :woot:

I will say, medical school was one of the most challenging experiences I have ever faced in my life, but I bet it will be one of the most rewarding; second only to marriage and the birth of my first child, both of which happened during the first two years of medical school.

So, I know how you feel and I'm sorry you have to go back. Well, actually I'm not sorry you have to go back. Undergrad. was one of the best times of my life. Enjoy, it will be over before you know it!

I'll be starting college again this fall. Got 29 credits in 3 years.

Congrats on the high GPA.

Picky professors for which won't give you an A because they don't like you are worse than drill instructors who just sort of punish everyone vs. a single person wasn't really cool though. I had a 96.93 average in the class and he still gave me an A-, looking at the syllabus that grade should of been an A!

And you have time to detail a black truck? :bow :bow :bow

Congrats Paul; fishing, detailing and beautiful weather; it doesn't get better then that :)

JJ: Congrats that is a huge accomplishment :bow :bow

I hope you the best of luck in your future career.

Jason: I couldn't agree more with what you mean about teachers. Usually when teachers see that you attend class all the time, i'm not tardy and always do work, they will give you a passing grade. It's a shame because my Sociology of Police professor was a really easy going guy but his favoritism drove me crazy. He would talk to his "special" students about 1/4 of the class and the rest of the students, including me we're screwed grade wise. I'm not going to complain or go crazy, my grade wasn't that bad, just sucks that it was my lowest grade and in one of my easiest classes.

Lowe: Sociology of the Police is very similiar to criminology. In the class we learned about the role and job of the police and how they help aid society. We also learned different court cases and some civil liberties. It was an overall fun and interesting class, the professor just screwed me (see above). Global Issues was about that Global Issues. We talked about povery, terrorism, and wars outside of the US. The class is a real eye-opener for a majority of students who are completely oblivious of issues outside the US. We had some pretty interesting discussions and my teacher was a really smart and educated man with a great personality. His daughter is actually serving a 20 year sentence in prison in Peru for charges of terrorism. It's pretty crazy seeing a bunch of videos and newsclips with my professor on them. When I saw him with Peter Jennings and a couple other primetime news specials I was really

Ha! Ha! No, it looks horrible. It's been neglected. Once the board exam is over (June 8), I'm going all out. I've been buying new product all spring and all I've had time to do is QEW every now and then.

I won't even tell you what my wife's car looks like. I will definitely detail her car first. No, not b/c she's my wife, but b/c her car has the most swirls and I want to try out my new SSR 2.5 :woot:

I got done with finals last week and am really happy about all my grades except one... Organic Chemistry is horrible... I will be repeating that class.

I have a couple weeks off until I begin summer classes... Statics, Chemistry Lab, Differential Equations and linear algebra. Should be an awesome summer for me!

Wow you really got a summer full of classes

I've taken a summer class my first two years in college, but i'm right on track for graduation next year so no need for them this year :bounce Not like they were a big deal, only 3 and 4 week classes, they really fly by.

What are "THE SOCIOLOGY OF POLICE" and "GLOBAL ISSUES" - sounds intriguing.

Opportunities for Left Wing gas bag professors to spew their hackneyed drivel.

American univerieities are flooded with them.

I struggled through 4 years of it as a history major and had a few of those sociology classes sprinkled in for requirements.

JohnnyDaJackal, congrats on the good grades and enjoy the summer off. Hopefully here in Jersey we'll have the perfect weather for the shore and detailing - not too hot.

Go ahead, rub it in. I still have a month before school lets out.

Congrads to everyone who had another successful year. If all goes well, I'll end up with a 3.8-3.9 GPA. Not too bad for a freshman taking the max number of classes, IMO.

Basket weaving and dodge ball don't count :p

:rofl

I dropped those two classes back in September. I picked up CAD and Internet Marketing to replace it.

The last time I played with an inflatable[sp?] ball, I broke a finger...
