NITRO SEAL durability after 4 months...

I can't find the thread but someone recently said that NS only lasted for 4mths for them. A few comments were made that implied NS may not last as long as reputed.

I detailed a car this week that I NS'd back in January, so it's been over 4 months - a perfect opportunity to evaluate the claim.

Keep in mind that this car:

Is NOT a garage queen (it *should* be but the owner doesn't have a garage)

It's a daily driver

It's exposed to the elements 24/7 for over 4 months

It's BLACK, which tortures LSP the hardest

Here are some pics (phone camera so not the best quality - sorry).

I'm impressed!

After 4 months you'd be hard pressed to get that kind of beading from the vast majority of LSPs out there. No less from a black vehicle that sits out in the elements 24/7!

Yes, I was impressed too.

The beading and the *look* is astonishing. I couldn't help but stare at it all the time.

Those are some pretty impressive 4 month old beading. Glad you're happy with Nitro Seal. Please keep us updated on your results Paul.

Paul, I still love that car the result is simply stunning and the beading looks awesome.

IME it will still look as good at the next clean up in another 6 months.

Well Done

Daniel

I remember the original picture/post of this vehicle and that insane gloss was off the charts. Still is and makes me really want to try it. Great to hear that NS is holding up so well in your harsh climate.

OT Ford should make the FPV and the Falcon brand available to the USA. I think they would sell well here.

Seriously good beading, plus the paint still looks great!

Yes on both counts! Have you used NS?

I'll let you know in 6 months. ;)

Very nice!

I've seen a vehicle sit out for a week and heavy rain alone does a number to the LSP.

As does extreme heat for months (as we get in Perth) on black paint. NS just laughs at it.

That would be brilliant as the Falcon model seems to be unsustainable in our small market, and will end in the near future after about 50 years. This is a limited edition model that has a super-charged 5.4L V8 that puts out 335kW (450hp). You should hear the exhaust note!

Holding up that well under those conditions... I wonder if it would be possible to get 2 months over opti-coat? Might have to give that a try. I wrote optimum and they suggested opti-seal over it... others have said it doesn't last that long.

The black looks really black. Great shots and I can attest to how hot it gets in Perth. Can't wait to see how long Nitro Seal will go.

You don't use any QD for drying? You literally just towel dry after washing and take pics?

No QD. And while the rest of the car gets an ONR wash I use regular car shampoo for the bonnet to avoid skewing results.

Impressive results. If you don't mind I'd like to update the title of your thread to reflect 12 months? Pics would be awsome if you have time too.

Please feel free to update the title as needed in the future too. :up

I'll see if I can get a pic next time.
