gusbubba said:My wife got an X-Terra last year---same basic vehicle as the Frontier.
VERY impressed with the power....this thing is NEVER at a loss for torque.
Passenger leg room isn't all I could hope for (I'm 6'-2") ,
but who the hell buys a vehicle to keep passengers happy ?
My brother-in-law , a die-hard Ford man and committed foreign car basher,
was so impressed with it , he traded in his Explorer for an X-Terra.
After a year with it , my wife and I are both still VERY happy with it.
So you know , hers is a 6-speed manual....not sure what you'll get with an auto.
Hope this was helpful.......

in terms of performance.
Danase said:Really? Do you mean the Nissan 4 banger or the 6? I really want a 4 cylinder and low payments but dang it does the Nismo edition look sweet.
Tasty said:I would only get a 4 cylinder truck if you are getting a regular cab 4x2 and never plan on hauling much or doing towing of any kind. The Nissan 6 cylinder engines are very highly regarded, and I think anything less in a truck would be a disappointment. Just my .02.
Danase said:Ok, I went to test drive the only Frontier they had and it would not start. The battery was dead enough where it would light up the gauges but not turn the truck over.

Danase said:I actually felt bad for the dealer because it would not start. LOL But I think I might try and grab this 1995 GMC 1500 standard cab, short bed, 350ci, truck.
