Nissan frontier black trim renew

I have used many different trim coatings for the lage amount of dark grey (now lite grey) on my 2001, all look good when applied, but wash off in the first rain. I just used gtechniq C4, whose web site went on about combining with the plastic's "DNA", dries/cures almost instantly, and how it would last 2 years. Not even 2 days!! Applied Sat AM, Rain late Sat. nite, Sun am all washed off, back to lite grey. Maybe I am missing some necessary prep, besides APC and IPA. Someone said Nissan plastic from that era is not the same as everyone elses. Any help appriciated, as the dreaded painting of the trim seems to be in my future. Thanks

I just use some cquartz on trim very good finish on it. I use to use optiseal to protect good trims or OCW to protect because it not staining but can apply very easy and fast and dry non greasy.
