Nissan 350z Solid Black

thanks Juyang, I spoke to Bondi about them. Well Have only used the optimum polish during this detail, for the rotary, I love the fact that it doesn't dry up, will have to try it on other paints as it did leave some hologram on the super soft clear. But still have to get used to using it with the ROB because I never know when it has broken down since it always give the same oily look even after many passes, unlike meg's which will clear up.

Also tried mixing M83+op...didn't like it coz it doesn't cut very well compared to M83 alone.

I sealed it with Poli-Seal...and didn't realise that I used too much until after reading some posts pointed out by Bence that i should be worked clear...

the next day I re-wash the car and wax with FK1 Pink Wax...[/QUOTE]

Hehe thats my first experience since I used a lot M83 before for correction of moderate to light swirls (megs pad). They are just different. If you used to M83 there is learning curve using Optimum line, but imo you ll get better result.

Actually what you see is not hologram you are using too much OP, it hasnt broken down. Try using a little less compared to M83, work in small section since you are using very low speed. It is pad dependant polish and also its cut is below M80 I think but to my eyes finish better than M80 with the polishing pad. If you consider the price of Menz 106ff versus OP you'll better use OP in case you cant charge more for using 106ff.

OPS is much more easier. You use more since it like vanish into the paint. Darken the paint a bit like M21 but this time if you apply via rotary and polishing pad you get a little correction ability compared to M21. Try get OS to top OPS....the high gloss finish is :cooleek: if you like high gloss thats the ticket imho.

How do you like Pink wax. I havent used it. But for carnauba my choice is Souveran, 50/50 BF paste.

Thanks for the advice!!

wow, even with 83 I do not put that much product already, how do you know when the OP has broken down?

I agree, when I first started using the OP, I was out of my comfort zone, comfort zone being the meg's polishes.

OS on top of OPS?...gosh you're poisoning me!

Pink wax, have only used it once, well it's easy to remove and it did streak a bit for me, probably too much product, the looks, that's very subjective and I also dunno how to compare to other waxes.

Do you use the Optimum Compound and Optimum Hyper Compound?

you did'nt lose a step by not using the rotary, it still came out aswesome without the use of it, light seen\ms to drip off it. great job.:waxing: :2thumbs:

i try to use very very little and then run it until almost (almost is the key) clear since you can't expect it to be, really clear thats the difference with menzerna, wipe out check your result...

Anyway jusy try and try to get hold of it....worth it.....i seldom use m80 now...the result of m80 is a bit deceptive to me...OP gives you real result.

Not really mate just tell u my exp...or is it better i keep it myself:secret :p

try get s100 then, value wax...nice glow...nice beading...only bewarned of water spot since our climate is about the same, plenty of rain.

Yes, but in my experience you need clean surface to use the compound, clay first. Sometimes m83 is easier to work with if we dont start with claying. OC will cause like spot gumming on the surface contaminant and will get bigger and bigger if you continue to :buffing:

hey 99blackSE, thanks!

blucpe,

thanks, but erm...i did use the rotary?..although I'm still a newbie at it :p

NavindraLR,

thank you! I thought the same as well for it to be an automatic, easy driveability I suppose :)

almost clear...hmm, I would have to learn the OP first. Will definitely try the Menzerna next time.

I agree with you on M80, if I'm not concerned about paintwork correction though, M80 is still nice.

hehe, that one will have to wait, the tub FK1 PinkWax is BIG!, will take me forever to finish :p
