Does anyone here who accepts credit cards out in the field use their service? Sounds pretty neat, as well as their rates are low(per transaction anyhow). Not sure what the monthly rate is or the cost of the equipment. I'm waiting on an email back with that info.

Just wondering if anyone here used the system. Or if anyone does take cards as mobile detailers what service do you use?

Thanks!

Mark

one service that has surfaced a few times is the chargeamerica.

If I recall correctly at least one person here uses it. For the life of me I cant remember though.

I've looked into that, but the discount rates are higher both percentagewise and per transaction, I believe its close to $.60/transaction with a 2.99% discount rate, versus creditel at $.22/transaction and a 1.67% discount rate. When doing boats at $600/boat that percentage difference makes a significant difference.

paypal also seems to have fairly high rates, while at the same time doesn't appear to be very ideal for mobile operations.

I use paypal for any credit processing. If my customers want to use a credit card, i give them an invoice, and direct them to my website. At the top of any page you will see a tab for on-line payment. It makes it so my staff nor myself ever have to handle a credit card, and it is a pretty cheap alternative to having to purchase swipe machines, pay the monthly fee, and the transaction fee for a merchant account. And best of all, all of the money is directed straight into one of my business checking accounts, no inbetween holding account or anything.

check out how i have it set up in the top right at www.ddetail.com
