Here is the new vette with 4 coats of Z2. Went to a vette rally in Eureka Springs, AK this weekend and you would not believe some of the new vettes there. Swirl city.

If you have clear coat failure i'm affraid nothing can be done. And if the hoods paint is cracking sounds like you will need to media blast the car to get it down too the real metal and go from there as far as a paint job.Or a good strippingHello all! I am so happy to have found this site. I have a 1991 Mercedes 560 SEL that I just bought about a week ago. I love this car, but the factory paint is in poor shape. The clear is gone on some parts of the hood and the tops of the front fenders. The hood also has what looks like cracks in the paint. The rest of the cars finish is fairly solid, but covered with water spots, swirl marks, and other dabreas. I am not sure if anything can be done for the hood and fenders where the clear coat is gone other than just repainting them. I have been serching the forum and it sounds like a full correction is due on this car. Will that do anything for the hood? Is there anyway to just have part of the car resprayed with clear? What does a full correction intail? I dont think this is a job I can do myself seeing as I don't have the proper tools, products, or experance! I know that there is no easy ansewer to this one because it depends on so many factors I'm sure, but what is a ballpark figure on a job like this, the full correction? Thank you so much for your help.
