Hi all, I'm going to be recieving the PC 7424 kit with CCS pads later this week, and have a flamenco black pearl 97 Acura CL with pretty good condition paint for the age. I always wash and wax the car every other week, but of course there has been a huge accumulation of swirl and scratch buildup that hand polishing/waxing could never remove.
So now I'm looking to eliminate all that or as close to all that as I can and bring it back to near showroom condition. My question is...what are the best products I should use to eliminate medium swirls and scratches on a 10+ year old black car? I'm not sure whether these older acuras had softer clearcoat or not, but just wanted suggestions on the best and easiest to work with swirl/scratch removers/pure polishes out there that will get yield me some good permanent results.
I've seen the tutorial vids on autogeek and was wondering how good an agenda the following is:
Pinnacle MXT 3 w/orange pad
XMT1 w/ white pad
topped with one or two coats of DWG for added depth and gloss
finalized with a coat of Victoria Red wax
How does this sound? I want the paint to look unrealistically wet. How do poorboys SSR products stack up to pinnacle? Or does anyone have any alternative suggestions?
Thanks much in advance
