In the past years i had new cars with "good paint condition" and i dont care about
detailing but one month ago i bought a 1990 Mazda Miata (Classic Red) and the paint sucks (swirls, few oxidation, etc)...
Last week I bought 2 products in a Paint Shop: "Malco Products Rejuvenator" and "Malco Products Flash Glaze" (both products have carnauba wax).
Malco Products Rejuvenator:
Malco (The Choice of the Pros!) - REJUVENATOR(TM)
Malco Products Flash Glaze:
Malco (The Choice of the Pros!) - FLASHâ„¢ LIQUID PASTE WAX
Next day I wash the car and applied both products, the products and my HAND did a good job fixing fine swirls and removing some oxidation in the trunk and front hood.
now the car looks "shinny" but... i know i need do a better work with this paint
The point is.. i wanna do a best job with this paint.. the car still have some swirls..
i dont have any buffer or PC so i will do the job with my HANDs.
i was browsing in many threads of this forum about products reviews, detailing steps, etc.
I did a "temporary list" with some products that i think i could use and get a nice job
doing this steps:
1. Wash with: Meguiar's Gold Class (GC)
2. Clay with: Sonus SFX Ultra-Fine Detailing Clay
3. Removing some swirls again with: Malco Products Rejuvenator <-- i really like the product <-- Any opinion? best product recommendation? **BY HAND**
4. Polish with: Autoglym super resin polish <-- some people says is a good product but... is a machine product or i can apply by hand? Klasse AIO is better?
5. Apply glaze layer with: Malco Products Flash Glaze <-- dusty but.. good results and easy to apply and remove
6. Apply wax with: S100 Carnauba Wax <-- how many layers?
7. QD with: Autoglym Aqua Wax
Correct me if ill do a bad step or need add another step for the exterior detailing
newbie questions:
Meguiar's NXT 2.0 is a good wax? the forum have bad and good versions about this product.. is better than S100 or P21S? what other wax is good? (easy to apply)
Meguiars ColorX is a kind of wax or polish?
Polish.. Autoglym? Poorboys Polish w/Sealant? Klasse All-In-One?
If i use Klasse All-In-One.. i need to use the sealant?
I need to use a QD after i finish the wax step?
303 Aerospace is a good cleaner for the interior Vinyl/Plastic/Rubber?
Hi-Temps' Paint Perfection Glaze "Best One-Step Wax - Polish & Wax in one step!" <-- what about this product?
Who sells online Autoglym products in USA?
Im open to critics, recomendations, etc.. Yeah.. i know.. have many questions lol
