Newb needs help

Hi all,

I have been looking at this site for a couple of weeks now and I might say you guys do some awesome work. I have always been interested in keeping my cars looking clean but had no idea all this information was out there. I need some help on what items I would need to detail my black cars. I have a 1997 mustang cobra and a 2001 lightning. Both are black and have swirls all over. I am getting a pc for Christmas but wanted to now what you guys would use on black as far as polish, cleaner, wax, etc. I have used clay before but not the pc and polish. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!
 
There are lots of great products out there, and everyone has their favorites. Do lots of reading and searching on different products.



*I* suggest Menzerna, Poorboy's, and Einszett polishes for swirl and scratch removal.



Klasse AIO is a great cleaner and base for any product you are going to use.



Remember the key is the right process, not the products you use.



Wash, clay, polish, and protect.
 
I understand the steps you use but was just wanting some advise on where to start as far as ordering supplies. What polish, wax, sealant has everyone had the most success with on black paint. Thanks for the quick reply
 
Well, I've dealt with ~5 black cars on a regular basis and have had the best success with the products I mentioned. Corvettes, 4Runner, Navigator, and Hummer have all come out well with the above mentioned products.
