New Zaino Cleaner Polish?

Intercooled

New member
I've been awaiting the release of the new Z Cleaner Polish that has been discussed in threads past. It was rumored to be released the end of this month. (which is just about now!) Anyone in the know have any word on this?

Going to have to be patient. Probably won't be available until the end of June. No date has been set... Just have patience.

I'm tired of waiting on Zaino releases, it was the same way when they released Pro and Z8. If it is true and it leaves the surface w/o any oils so sealants bond good, it will fill a much needed hole in detailing. From now on I'll wait until the actual release before I get too excited. I'm sure they wont stop with the cleaner, they'll probably reformulate their other polishes, and I'd bet someday make some other coumpounds maybe. Who knows? The only thing I can tell you for sure, is whatever they make it will freaking smell delicious.:hairpull

Can't confirm this until I try Zaino's product, but it would seem that there are other polishes out there that can be used before Zaino without washing if you are worried about bonding.

Maybe not FPII, but what about FP or PO85RD? They don't seem to leave much of anything behind. Now, if Zaino is doing something specifically special to aid bonding, then maybe he has something on his hands.

Otherwise, you'd be looking at it because it's an especially good polish on its own, not just because it obviates the need for an extra wash.

From what I've heard, it's a great product anyway.

Still around. :D I have been extremely busy at work (hospital has change status from non-profit community hospital to private owned for-profit facility :( ) Many changes occurring that unfortunately take priority over detailing hobby at this time.

I do need to call Sal. :o

Still waiting for released date. My sample of the final version is all used up and I am waiting anxiously also.

Yes, the paint cleanser is worth the wait. I have been waiting 3 years and testing beta samples of this product for the last 2. This version is right on target.

Burly, you will love the aroma. :xyxthumbs

blkZ28Conv,

with your experience with this "zaino polish cleaner", will it be strictly a cleaner or will it have any abrasives that will aid in swirl removal?...how would you compare it to...let's say...AIO?...

From John@CRSpotless, hope he doesn't mind me quoting him here:

"1. Zaino SMR smells good- like you want to mix it with some cocunut rum.

2. Took out slightly more sunburst haze than the 3M [SMR]

3. Seemed to produce more 'byproduct' than the 3M [SMR]

4. Added a bit of depth to the paint and a touch more gloss (totally subjective opinion of 3 guys standing and staring at two panels).

5. Killed an extra wash step by allowing Z5 to go down on top of the SMR :)"

The Zaino cleanser/polish is a true reducing (diminishing) abrasive product. It has a slightly higher initial abrasive level than AIO (yes, AIO does have physical abrasives) and reduces (diminishes) down to a glazing product but non-filling.

I disagree with the production of residue. If used properly and at the correct dosage, this product disappears quite similiarly to AIO.

This is a finishing product that finalizes the paint to its highest natural smoothness (slickness), gloss, wetness and depth of appearance.

As stated before, Sal has not invented a new genre of a detailing tool (polishes), but has developed a final polish/cleanser that is perfectly compatible with his system (Zaino).

This product can also can be used with other LSP's. :wavey
