......from that spray picture you posted.......you need to add way more condtioner try 10:1
iam glad you posted that spray picture....
i will posted a pic of how the solution should look
the suave formula i made is definately thicker than the poorboys

Like I stated earlier, I tried it, and I don't see how in the world you got a 15:1 mix of the conditioner and water to work like you stated. Kudos to you for being innovative, but I just don't think it's for me. In a pinch it might be okay, but money really isn't an issue here. I'll probably stick to buying the Spray & Wipe.

Just FWIW, I did play around with different ratios last night in a smaller test bottle and still could not duplicate the results of using Poorboy's S&W.

This reminds me of when some guy on the S2000 owner's website started a thread stating that everyone should use old engine oil as tire dressing. He stated it was a tip from "the pros."

Well, I never put used oil on my tires and something tells me that my car will not have silky smooth hair either. :D

Actually old oil will ruin your tires. Believe it or not!

i was just wondering if the conditioner mix could be used as a quik detailer or even a lube to clay with instead of a waterless wash..?

definately...........but if you use it with clay it wont work,i think it evaporates to quickly, maybe if you sprayed alot, it might, i havent tried it

89 cents a bottle here at Wal-Mart so I figured what the heck.

Bought a bottle of the conditioner and a couple new spray bottles.

Test subject was my 98 Grand Cherokee - Charcoal Black Paint.

Last full detail was late December just before Christmas. EX-P X 2 and UPP X 4 were my toppers. ( Yes, I used 2 topcoats, don't ask why- it really just seemed to add the extra pop!)

I tried it 15:1 and had nill luck. In fact, it plain sucked.

No marring or anything, but it just didn't do what S&W does.

Not easily discouraged, I mixed it 10:1.5 in another spray bottle and gave it another shot.

This worked quite well. Easy on, easy off. Slick finish, no marring, great shine.

Not quite the same cleaning ability of S&W, but still just enough to take care of daily wipe downs.

Note: It does not look or smell the same as S&W, not that it matters either....

Afterwards, I decided to see if there were any hidden "wax stripping" effects, by running a steady stream of water over the paint.

Water easily sheeted off the paint, and the beading was still excellent.

In short, it's not exactly a complete S&W replacement, but it's definately worth keeping in the arsenol as a Waterless Wash backup, or just for the daily wipe downs.

On the same token:

I have no intentions to stop purchasing S&W either, I love the stuff and have more uses for it than the average bear.

I m sure it work's good for you , but Im sure it's not identical to P&B S&W.

PB S&W rock's......!! Be lost without it. That remind's me , time to order another gallon.
