New Vehicle Question

Will be taking delivery of new LR4 this week. Will wash, clay, polish if needed and protect. Very comfortable with all that. May have dealer leave on exterior plastic film. Have never removed this and will be working outside at about 50-55 degrees. Any tips or tricks? What product would you use on adhesive residue. What about interior plastic was planning on letting dealer remove this? Just being cautious, hate to f..k up brand new car, so asking in advance. Thanks.

Protective Shipping Film

Remove the RapGard (shipping vinyl) protective film by carefully pulling it at a 45 degree angle; remove any adhesive from the vehicle surfaces with ValuGuard "N" New Car Prep or 3M™ Adhesive Remover and Surface Cleaner both are safe solvents that is outstanding for the removal of tar, grease, adhesive, bugs, crayon and stubborn stains on paint, contains no harmful Xylene, Benzene or Toluene.

Keep the dealer away from the car as much as possible. Remove the plastic at the dealership and inspect the paint onsite. Worry about adhesive removal later (though on most cars the only adhesive left will be around the edges).

Truck is coming direct from port, not sure how dirty it will be. Is it ok to remove plastic at dealer before washing?
