New Toyota Tacoma Product Suggestions

I just purchased a new tacoma that has 700 miles on it. The color is magnetic gray. It has been about 7 years since I have really detailed anything. The last products I used were Zaino and 3d uno and poxy. Zaino was just to much time for me Just looking for something new to try and a one stop shop to purchase everything. Last time I detailed my truck it was all by hand. I am really considering geting a da now. I think I will try out Garry dean's washing technique to.

There are products you can easily use by hand but if you want to save some time and energy, I'd plan on a DA. There are a lot of good ones out there. The best one really comes down to your needs. As far as protection, I'd say go with a surface coating.

That's some pricey stuff. I read on the link to keep out of weather for 24 hrs. Is that just rain or no driving for 24 hrs. Does any other products need to be applied before or after.

yes it is a little pricey, but it does have it's advantages.
1. they give you a lot of product (more so than others), enough to do a dozen vehicles. trucks, suvs, vans etc. require more product than most other coatings initially give and if you want to multiple coat your ride, forget it.
2. it can be used on multiple surfaces while most others are only for paint.
3. it's useful life is claimed to be higher than most (3yrs)
4. very easy to apply, with a nice finish.
Acc often has sales, so sign up for their email list and get it cheaper.
as with any coating, your ride must be as clean and defect free as you can get it before application. they do make some coating specific car washes , chemical polishes, shine boosters, etc , but they are not absolutely necessary. the coating alone looks great.
in a perfect world, garage the vehicle for 24hrs to let the coating cure and harden up after application, or at least keep it out of any nasty weather for that time.

I have used the duragloss enviroshield and like it. for paint only but they do give you plenty to double coat a truck with. claimed 2yr durability and nice finish. probably the best price for any coating out there.

Thanks for all the comments. Looks like PBL and Duragloss are both great choices. A few questions.

Are all coating products applied with a foam applicator meaning a da is really not required?
What is the difference in the black label surface and paint coating? I see the black label surface can be applied to glass, paint, wheels, trim etc.
Should I clay bar and polish before the coating?
Lastly should I top the coating 24hrs later with carnauba wax?

D/ is required for polishing, NOT the application of coating
Dunno
Yes, clay and polish before
Wait at least a week to top the coating (imho)
