"I love the smell of burning paint in the morning". Kidding of course, maybe one day I can graduate to that big boy. Congrats.

Don't wait for the weather, we know you're dying to try it out, so break out the Optimum Compound and Poliseal and correct the swirls on the fridge, the washer, the dryer, the kitchen countertops, and the dish washer.

The car and the neighbours can wait until tomorrow,

Good choice, people love the Makita.

-John C.

the makita is great. i am on my second one. the reason is that the machine heats up anfter continued use (2 or more hours) and i put a rag over the vent. dont' do that. a lot of people will try to scare you about rotary polishing. that is because they are wimps, and that fear causes them to spen 10x too long on jobs with a pc. you will get results with the makita that will make your girlfriend wet in the panties

Just placed my order at coastal tool, can't wait to try mine on on my wife's car! :)

pontiacbird04, have you used yours yet? Thoughts?

Pete

Thanks guys! I ordered it from Coastal Tool and it was just delivered by the big brown truck late tonight!

I'll be picking up pads for it this weekend and will start using it next week!

Weather and worry are definitely not issues here;) Today it was 80° and I was buffing a black F150 wearing shorts :D

I'll be sure and let everyone know my thoughts on it after I've used it a couple of times!

Make sure that you throw that backing plate away and pick up the LC one.

I recomend the 6" one

Was about to recommend changing the plate. The LC one I got didn't quite fit my 9227

It went flying off and into the air like a frisbee at 1500 rpm.Luckily while working on and old panel
