On my white Tundra, I notice with the 6 coats of Z5 on the hood it stays cleaner than other cars after the rain. My truck was pretty dusty, but after the rain, the shine is back. Anyone else notice this? When I was using carnuba, after the rain the hood looked hazy, with no sharp clean gloss I am getting now.
 
I got rained on big time one day after I first Z'd. I noticed this effect instantly. The Explorer collected less dirt, the shine was still visible under the dirt "skin" and if I pulled in the garage quickly; the hood remained almost completly dry because the driving had cleared the water on the road. Only the water that hit the hood while pulling in the garage remained.



Very happy with my Z.



Since the truck is already dirty, I am wanting to see how the Aquapel acts in the rain. Of course, mother nature just rained enough to get me dirty, but not enough to really try out the aquapel.
 
My car stays cleaner now than it ever has, especially after bad weather. For instance, I can leave the car in the rain all day with some driving mixed in, and by the time the water falls off or dries up when I get home, it honestly looks like it's just been washed. There are a few spots where the dirty water collects, but on the whole, the car is very clean and shiny considering what it's been through. Back when I was using Meguiar's, after rain the car was usually filthy. Dirt clung all over the car and it just looked nasty and dull. Maybe it's just that I've got so many layers of Z built up that it's nearly bullet proof to inclement weather and such. It's certainly very cool, my car can go longer between washings since it takes a lot to really get it dirty now.

My truck was pretty clean after the rain, until I decided to do some wheelin in some mud. Now my truck is about 50-75 lbs heavier with the mud attached to my truck
 
BTW, unrelated question.

Q: If a bird bombs on your Zaino, how many layers if any, does it remove, if I were to say QD it off after a few hours?
 
that's weird. after Z'ing my car w/ a layer of Z5 on saturday. it's been collecting dust! and the dust seems to attract to it rather than being repelled?!! :(

what's going on. i'm getting the opposit effect.

granted it hasn't rained... cuz when i was washing the car, i noticed the water and the Z7 was barely getting on the car since the previous coats of Z2/Z5 was repelling it all away.
 
I have noticed this effect with both zaino and klasse. And you are right that the carnuba seems to have the oppposite effect. it seems ta attract dirt nd not let it be rinsed by the rain. I have noticed a small amount of static with zaino but not nearly as much as carnuba.
 
I had a problem with Zaino attracting a ton of dust too. I think my problem was that there was a static charge in my towels. Try this: when you dry your towels, don't dry them all the way. Dry them until they are just slightly damp and then let them air dry the rest of the way. That seemed to help with my dust problem. Good luck!

yesterday, I didn't wash my car just rinsed it off really well (50° in February!) it was soo nice and shiney, I took pics of the sheet/beading but alas I was too busy doing other stuff :)



Okay I know which wax this thread is about but I learned it from watching you alright! :D

Oh and I am by no means a good photographer, but I do enjoy taking some pictures from odd angles and trying different things. So if you see any of my pictures that look weird it's just me trying to be artistic..lol.
