New to the forum. 2013 C300 light swirls ?

So went over the car with a merzerna product 85 rd. with a 7 inch white pad. I think from what I was told it was not using enough cut in the polish So I'm gonna go with a 5.5 pad and merzerna po83 si1500 Then the 85 rd sf4500 after does this sound like a good combo to start with. Yeah, that should be pretty good place to start and see what you're up against. The newer Benz's have ceramiclear which is essentially a very small layer of extremely hard clear coat. So try to go slowly and remember you might have to go back a few times to get correction as the whole point of ceramiclear is that it is supposed to be difficult to abrade ie scratch.
 
Your thought is correct. Step up the polish and/or pad. 85rd is a true finishing polish.

What polisher are you using?
 
I'm using flex 3401 d/a vrg I know it was the most expensive one. Thanks again. U guys r the best. I love this site. Jay
 
The smaller pad obviously requires the smaller backing plate. It isn't as necessary for correction on the Flex because of the forced rotation (more for control and getting in to smaller areas).SI1500 is probably a good choice.If it still isn't enough, you might need something like FG400 but definitely try SI1500 first.

Roshan is correct: your paint is pretty hard - or at least the recent MBs I have done were.
 
Nope it did not. I should have the dealership fix the swirls after this heavy rain we had a lot of swils showed up. The car was sitting inside. And from the time I bought it they only had a hr b4they gave it to me. So I bet they just did whatever they had to do to make it look goods. Not sure what I should do
 
Honestly, don't let the dealer touch your paint any more than you absolutely have to. Thet will almost certainly continue to inflict swirls and such. They really do not know what they are doing and most truly believe that swirls and holograms are normal.

Either fix them yourself or find a quality detailer who can. Where a you located?

Agreed, if they knew how to fix it they would have. Your MB has clear coat.
 
Once they told you that it has no clear coat, I would've stopped listening to what they said immediately and would NEVER put my car in their hands.

I mean, let's face it, Mercedes Benz's are not sold in the amounts that hondas or toyotas are. And yet these dealerships have more salesmen than other dealerships. What do they do all day? If they are just going to sit on their asses, at the very least they should know a thing or two about the car they sell lol

No clear coat, what a joke.
