New to Jeff's Werkstatt Products: How many coats of each

Looks great. I'm glad JW is working out well for you. Give Satin Prot a shot next time you place an order. It's better than other things I've tried on plastic trim, like the bottom trim on the Murano. I also use it on tires. Lasts longer than most products.

thanks on that , and the tip on Port. I debated that.

I ended up with FK 108 for everything but tires. I really like the satin on the trim and inside it is extremely nice. But on tires I like a shine.

I was thinking about getting a gallon of Megs Hyper Dressing and seeing how that does on tires.

Now my problem is it seems my choice of JW is about 2 years behiind. I have been reading all up on HD UNO. Sounds like a great single product. But I am too heavily investing in JW at the moment.

I will post more when I actually do the MO from to bottom up in JW. Should be real nice.

One think I have notices today is the Diff in the color of the MO from using NXT 2.0 as an LSP and using CJ. the NXT made it look more Wine Purple/Red. The CJ gives it a redish warm glow. Not sure which I like better, but they are for sure Diff.

Could not resist this morning. I sprayed off the MO and did a wipe with Carnauba Gloss. Hood captured the early morning moon

Small Moon can be seen in the Center Right of the pic

Working on my MO today. Finally had a day to strip it and apply JW Acrylic Prime / AJT ... Got it Washed, Clayed, Polished ... and then it started to rail :( I do not think the rain will last. So I plan to dry it off and go out to apply the Prime and AJT in an hour or so.

Waiting for the Rain to stop, I took some pics of my daughters Saturn. It is a 96 that we bought a year ago. The hood and trunk were tore up with cat scratches. I have been taking me time on this one, but finally finished it last night.

Here is what was done. (sorry no 50/50)

Resprayed the spoiler and front bummer with OTC Rattle-can Dupli-Color

2000 grit sanded the spoiler, hood, and rear hood for cat scratches

- in between played with some UC, polish and Carnauba Jett (see post #11)

Last night:

Rotary the standed areas with Orange LC and Megs $105

Clayed and did a 50/50 IPA wipe

Rotary the Sanded areas with Optimum Polish II on LC white pad

DA'd the rest of the car with OPII

1 coat of JW Acrylic Prime

1 coat AJT

= happpy Daughter :woot:

Going to follow with more AJT and then Use come CJ on it once that cures.

Grrrr ... Rain Again.

I got the Acrylic Prime on and it dried for about 45 minutes. Buffed it off ... NICE !!

Got started on the AJT on the Hood and looked over my shoulder ... Dark Skies again. In minutes the rain started coming down like Crazy.

So I guess I will finish tomorrow morning.

One note so far in doing the Nissan Murano (the intended vehicle for this thread) from the bottom up. From what I have seen thus far (AP total car and AJT on the hood) I like the look of Acrylic Jett better than Carnauba Jett in gloss and color. Yes it is a Merlot (ie dark red) car, and carnauba is said to be the LSP of choice, but I perfer the look of the Acrylic for me. Just My Opinion.

Cheer up M8,

I know rain can be big party pooper after all the hard work. But at least we got a lot of other stuff to be thankful for...

(singing) "rain rain go away..."

Yeah I love the Rain. It keeps my lake up. We had been in drought and the lakes were down until last may. It has come up 5 FEET !! since then.

Today is a beautiful day. The rain brought the first real break from the heat we have had since last year. So going back out to finish. At least now I will not soak thru my shirts :)

Hope to post some pics of the finish. Carnauba Jett compare to Acrylic Jett.
